Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great museum of history and natural history. It’s free and that’s a big plus. We didn’t get to see the whole museum but what we saw, especially the highlights gallery, was impressive and especially the collections from native Australian cultures. There’s some real depth here and the pieces on display are of high quality. I think it’s worth a visit for out of towners and locals. Beautiful old building as well.

The National Opal Collection, houses a huge collection of opal jewellery, and a museum of opals as well (complimentary to visit) –fascinating & mesmerizing. Bewildering array of info and beautiful designs, natural solid opals, black, light and boulder opals, much more - staff were very knowledgeable. (I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), wear a legbrace.)

Took the grandkids while on a history day in the rocks. It took a little while to find it underneath the Youth Hostel. Its a large open archaeological dig from the early days of the colony. We loved it. There were a few information plaques but would love to see more around the site.
