Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Denis FDublin, Ireland36 contributionsSaturday the 25th of November was part of the Black Friday weekend and the temperature in Sydney was 20 with persistent rain. Paramore were playing a concert across the road. There was no better place to go than the Gallery of New South Wales. I spent three full hours in the gallery. The gallery is a beautiful building. There is a fantastic selection of Art in the gallery. My favourite was Picasso's Nude in a rocking chair. A must visit on a trip to Sydney.Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TGDFphnom penh66 contributionsSome really interesting pieces - a photo exhibit that I paid extra to see but the museum is otherwise free. Not a huge number of offerings but an interesting range. Well worth the visit.Written 26 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OliviaMuswellbrook, Australia92 contributionsFantastic-my daughters bought me here a few years ago (after they came on a school excursion).
Keep your mind open and absorb it all.
I’m not an ‘art’ critique or follower, but I appreciate the stories and perspectives this gallery offers.
The cafe is out of this world as well, a real gem. If anything, having a tea and something to eat is a fantastic way to end the trip. I took hubby on this trip and he loved it. Staff were so good, from the staff who are supervising the artworks to the fantastic cafe staff, they couldn’t be more helpful.
We will return. It’s a fabulous asset to people.Written 12 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is only opened Thursday-Sunday and closes at 4pm. The top floor is Brett’s last studio and they have left everything as if he could walk in at any minute. It is an amazing way to see a snippet into his life and to see who he actually knew. Downstairs is a number of Brett’s artwork and to see them up close is special. The best thing is it is totally free. If you like your art and want to check out one of Australia’s best artists do find time to visit.Written 13 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AllanJGJWellington, New Zealand3,822 contributionsA handsome Georgian building with a range of facilities inside including the Tourist Office but what particularly appealed to us was the vegetation in the forecourt which included wheat and vegetables & herbs as well as a range of flowers. Really innovative and very cheery.Written 19 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Maria GCape Town Central, South Africa12 contributionsI was there on Thursday the 10th August, and I was elated by the excellent service at the main entrance when my students got the chance to speak with Archaeologist Lise Pyers.
Not only is she very knowledgeable and sociable , but also a caring host.
My students were very happy about the whole experience thanks to her guidance and services.
I’ll definitely visit again with other classes from ILSC School.
I highly recommend the place as an excursion destination for both locals and tourists as well.Written 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's in a cool neighborhood on one of the bays with a lot of eating and drinking places nearby. Good place for an expo.Written 10 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
