Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- BeijingEyeDubai, United Arab Emirates413 contributionsWent to the War Memorial late afternoon. Attended the Last Post Ceremony, it was well executed and actually quite moving. Well worth waiting for the ceremony.Written 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Diana BBath, UK267 contributionsTo get the full benefit of learning all about the Australian government you need a guide. It's really interesting to tour the parliament and if they are sitting, try to visit at question time (from 2pm).Written 15 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rainmaker22Orange, Australia12 contributionsWe had a great time at Questacon even in the school holidays. We pre-booked our tickets and although it was busy we didn’t have to wait long to access any of the activities. The Lego exhibit was the highlight and we spent over an hour in that gallery before making our way through the others. Overall, great value.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Guy BAmbrieres-les-Vallees, France40 contributionsThere are exhibits inside and outside the gallery. This is a most amazing space to see the items on show, In fact the gallery itself is an architectural work of art and I spent as much time looking at this as I did on the various gallery exhibits.
The whole place conjures an environment that just invites you to relax and absorb the art.
It must be mentioned that it also has a very good cafe/restaurantWritten 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The exhibition halls are a great mix and perfectly engaging for all ages. We also visited the discovery centre which was brilliant. We did get lost a bit, more signs back to the exit in the outdoor space would be welcome.Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GiorgiaReykjavik, Iceland75 contributionsIt wasn't in our plans, but we stopped by and we decided to get in this super beautiful museum! Best decision of the day! We were surprised by the interesting interiors and the way they were organized for people to learn more about a part of Australian history:)
We definitely recommend a visit! :)

Mostly enjoyed the current selection, although I found one heavily featured artist to be a bit woke ( I guess a sign of the times)Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth9 contributionsWe basically only stopped there for lunch at the bookplate cafe and it was great. Try the chia latte! - Ery559Sydney, Australia110 contributionsAttended with 7 and 9 year old. Both really liked it. It’s not big inside but we enjoyed looking at fossils and reading the interesting facts. $50 entry for family of four I thought was reasonable (for these times).
The outdoor playground is great for all kids under 10. I didn’t notice a cafe which would have been great on a cold day to get a coffee and watch kids play.
The gift shop had great gem items starting at $2, my kids loved getting “treasure” and was economical to get them a few stones each.
Was a great way to spend 2hrs.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Knowledgeable guide who is an up & coming athlete. Disappointing to see some sports like volleyball that don’t get virtually any Govt funding where as other sports such as basketball get a lot of money & athletes are fully subsidised. Worth the small fee.Written 24 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- S SSydney, Australia8 contributionsAs a geoscientist who doesn't miss showing my kid lots of rocks, this is best geological educational centre I can remember seeing. It has a nice mix of theory and hands on which helped me explain concepts which were difficult to explain previously. There is also a gemstone and interesting rock exhibit in the foyer. We only go to Canberra occasionally, but will make a point of going back to Geoscience each time we do.Written 26 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
