Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Completed this walk on June 1st, dropped by taxi near the War Memorial, commenced my walk at the Ataturk Memorial and continued on down to the New Zealand Memorial and Constitution Avenue and crossed over to the replicated New Zealand Memorial and back to my starting point. Lengthy walk but happy that I was able to undertake it and view the memorials on either side. Impressive "Parade' with the background of eucalyptus trees on either side, the memorials and the central strip in red gravel and planters containing the New Zealand 'Autumn Glory' shrub. Great overall view of the Parade with War Memorial overlooking from Mount Ainslie lookout. Not sure how frequent cleanups and maintenance is undertaken but paths and Memorials had varying amounts of debris from the eucalyptus trees both underfoot and on the Memorials and the white epoxy used to repair cracks and fill expansion joins really looked out of place.

The walk can be done from Honeysuckle Creek campground. The drive to the carpark closer to the rocks is quite washed out with a sign that says 4WD only. From Honeysuckle Creek the walk is about 8kms return.

Wow, I've been in canberra for a few years and had no idea this lookout was there. It's an easy stroll down to the lookout, about 1.2 km return. The view is great and there is lots of water in the river Nov 20.
    Good excuse for a drive.

Such a great hike with amazing views! But please be aware we parked close to the entrance of the walk, off road on the dirt and was given an unpleasant surprise upon our return... A parking ticket!!! I will definitely be disputing this, because there was no sign posting, or a solid white line. Just a heads up everyone!

Biggest problem is walking from Watson to Northern Border Campsite: there is no road access to Northern Border Campsite and this no parking. Not feasible to finish the walk here. Finish just beyond Mulligans Flat. It does bake the next days walk to Hall very long but is doable. Take plenty of food and water and do it in Spring or Autumn.

This out of the way picnic spot has shelter near the river. Seating but no expansive grass area. Ok for a small group but not a big gathering. Rocky with trees along the river banks. There are better spots but not bad if you want to be alone, unless others arrive of course.

This is a place that one should go and visit . It is amazing and so big with great views all around .There are so many different species of plants and it is a great place to take the kids for both the playground and the rolling hills for kite flying and rolling down the hills. There are numerous beware of snakes signs around but we never saw any. It costs $8.80 to park the day all day so one cheap day out for the family.
