Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Elsiem1Sydney, Australia8 contributionsI've been wanting to cycle around Lake Burley Griffin for years & it didn't disappoint. We hired an e-bike, a regular bike & a child trailer from Cycle Canberra (highly recommend) who delivered the bikes to us & gave us all the information we needed, including a cycle map. We cycled the Central & Eastern Loops, just under 15kms, starting & ending at the Visitor Information Centre at Regatta Point. It was a good spot to park. These 2 loops were flat apart from a few rises to cross bridges & the scenery was very relaxing. It was a cold & windy day but with gloves on & the child rugged up under a blanket & beanie in the trailer, we were fine & had a great time counting the animals we saw along the way. The Eastern Loop takes you over to the Jerrabombera Wetlands & Kingston which was interesting. Admittedly, we did get a bit confused through the streets of Kingston & this was a bit tricky navigating with a child trailer. Either we misread the map or the path along the lake has been extended since the map was printed as it does appear that we could've cycled along the lake through Kingston too, which would have made it much easier than going through the streets. We know for next time! If we didn't have the child trailer, we would've also cycled the Western loop which is the longest - another one for next time. I really enjoyed this experience & highly recommend.Written 3 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeannie L16 contributionsSuch a great hike with amazing views! But please be aware we parked close to the entrance of the walk, off road on the dirt and was given an unpleasant surprise upon our return... A parking ticket!!! I will definitely be disputing this, because there was no sign posting, or a solid white line. Just a heads up everyone!Written 8 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Frank FCastlemaine, Australia238 contributionsImpressive set of trails catering to a wide range of skill levels, and progressively getting more technical as you make your way up the mountain. Trails are generally well formed but be prepared for tree roots.
Make sure you head into Majurassic Park via the underpass to test yourself on some rollers and jumps.Written 25 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
