Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Iain MBrisbane, Australia493 contributionsAnother must do when in Canberra. This man made lake has about 40 kilometres of shoreline and you can even do a short cruise on it. You can't miss driving around parts of it. There are plenty of smooth walking and cycling tracks. There are many public areas where you can fire up the barbie. Some great views of Canberra and the 147-metre high Captain Cook jet fountain.Written 19 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dimitris LSydney, Australia53,397 contributionsLake Tuggeranong can make you feel happy or it can turn you off, depending on the time of year, or even time of week or day. However it can be really lovely on a good day and it must have been it, when we drove past a section of the lake. It was a lovely, quiet day, not too many people around, the sun was shining brightly and the water was calm and had a nice colour to it. We could not stay long, but it was worth the stop. Perhaps we should revisit!Written 17 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- westy54Sydney, Australia13,477 contributionsThe turnoff to this lookout, which is situated beside the Federal Highway on your way into Canberra, is on your left as you climb the hill after leaving the shores of Lake George.
The views over Lake George are quite extensive and, on this occasion, were even better as Lake George had lots of water in it.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is plenty of parking available and easy access.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
