Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was our first time visiting a winery and I was really impressed! The service was exquisite and the staff were very helpful and friendly (and knowledgeable). The tasting was also excellent value. For the price, you got to taste a lot of wines and got a small cheese board each as well. The outdoor seating area was so quaint and it was just such a relaxing environment! So glad we tried it out 😊

We visited with friends for the Epicurean tasting menu. Our first impression was of the attractive tasting room and tables with lovely flowers. Everything was low key but beautifully served and presented. A brief overview of both each tasting course, and the accompanying wine was provided. We had advised one of our group was gluten free and her dishes were carefully altered to meet her needs but still fit in with the overall menu with the minimum of fuss. The food itself was tasty and interesting. We especially enjoyed the zucchini veloute. The wines were well matched to the food and we enjoyed them enough to buy a few after the meal. The experience felt very personal- the chef (who insisted she was the cook) even came out to answer one of our questions. Overall the value was exceptional at $40 a head, with extra for an optional dessert and accompanying wine. Hall is a lovely little town close to Canberra and I would strongly recommend Capital Wines and their Epicurean experience.

Location gets 4 points... For wine tasting you will have to do some home work and engage the hosts to really guide you into wine tastings details. Be a more proactive. Lunch is OK.

This is a family-run winery with wine tastings in a rather primitive but perfectly functional shed. We enjoyed the overall rural vibe. On a sunny day you can sit outside with nice views to the west. If it's cold, there are heaters inside. There is a good range of wines for sampling and tasty cheese platters are available at a cost. A lovely way to spend some time.

Can’t believe I only live 10 minutes away and never visited this amazing boutique winery, went for a wine tasting visit and ended up spending a a couple of hours there.
Staff were fantastic and very knowledgeable of their wines, ended up having a late lunch and it was fantastic.

The views of the Murrumbidgee river with rolling hills are amazing.
    Definitely be back soon 🍷

Canberra wine and spirits merchants. Best prices, great service, excellent delivery. They promise next day delivery. I ordered online on a Saturday morning and it was delivered to my door early afternoon of that same Saturday 😁
