Even a grumpy Victorian can still be wowed by the majesty of CQ with bridge & Opera House views.
Like the pyramids or Eiffel Tower, guess SOH comes to mind of everyone thinking Oz internationally.
Really still grabs the eye no matter how many times seen. Magnificent & timeless architecture.
Unfortunately, in 2025 perceptions are stained by the disgusting anti-Israel protests in week after Oct 7, 2024.
Appalled an Australian icon made a deathly back-drop for “gas/get the Jews” chants.

Forest Therapy was phenomenal. I highly recommend this experience to anyone and everyone, whether you are a tourist or a local. Several hours to disconnect from the wider world, and to spend time in the in the wonderful gardens was a great privilege.
It was such a special thing to do in the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. The chance to connect, commune, and just be in nature was really one of a kind.
Our guides were really wonderful and it was a great pleasure to walk with them and learn from them. The walk and quiet time really reset my spirit. Thank you.

It was noisy, sometimes the brakes screech and we let the first one go by as it was jam packed, but the next one past we easily found a seat and enjoyed a trip around the city. Works well as a hop on hop off as they are frequent and it's free. Great way to take a look around central Melbourne.

A famous tourist destination. The ferry ride gives a good view of Bridge as well as Sydney Opera House. The buildings along the beach also give beautiful views.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is an iconic experience that offers breathtaking views of Sydney. Participants are guided on a climb to the top of the bridge, which stands about 134 meters above sea level. The climb is safe and suitable for most fitness levels, as you're securely harnessed and led by experienced guides. Along the way, you'll learn about the bridge's history and construction, making it both an exhilarating and educational adventure. It’s a must-do activity for visitors looking to see Sydney from a unique vantage point.

For me this is the best part of Brisbane. It has everything you need: galleries and museum, great views across the river, plenty of eateries, a great walk and running path all along the water and plenty of bridges that make it an easy walk back to the CBD. It has a nice and relaxed feel and it definitely a popular area at all times of day and for people of all ages. Definitely check it out.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden provides so many options; views of the city, avenues of mature eucalypt trees, elevated walkway, bird-watching, formal gardens, bushland, cafes, walking, sitting on benches and enjoying the sun. Various guided tours and other activities are also available.

We spent a couple of hours exploring the park and garden. Our first stop was to admire views of the city of Perth. Next we opted to take about a 45 minute walk that included the elevated walkway. The walkway allows you to experience various plants from canopy height. It's a gorgeous structure. Various species of birds could be observed feeding on nectar, flying overhead or perching in trees.

Our next walk was to explore a garden designed for children, in particular school groups. This included ponds and structures for climbing.

From here, we drove to the Zamia Cafe for coffee and a snack, then took a walk around the lake.

Kings Park is a popular destination, and on sunny days the car parks seem to fill; especially around lunch time. Having a car is useful if you're hoping to explore multiple trails throughout the Park. Being mainly outdoors, dress appropriately and remember sunscreen.

Loved this walk! Amazing views around every bend and got to see all of the small towns along the water. It was great and leisurely day and not a difficult walk at all imo as the paths were paved and you can stop many places along the way. I especially liked walking through the cemetery along the way, so many headstones from the 1800's was interesting.
I enjoyed Barzura restaurant at the end in Coogee for some delicious Nasi Goring.

This was our 11th visit to Hartley’s over the last 22 years and, as always , it was fantastic. My adult son and I spent a great seven hours there, including the Big Croc Feed ( feeding our favourite croc over many years, the always-hungry Spartacus - thank you Thomas for arranging that ).

All the shows are educational and entertaining . The animals are fascinating - not just the crocs ( feeding Big Bird the cassowary was a highlight ). There is plenty of shade available. The dining area is spacious. The food offerings are totally adequate .

We will be back in Far North Queensland in two years, and will definitely return to Hartleys

Arrived with no expectations and thought we would be there for 5 minutes, but as soon as we were greeted by Neil, our experience came to life. He greeted us like a local, and provided an memorable introduction/tour. We have 2 kids - 5 and 9, and he got them involved in the tour and they loved every minute of it. If you want a trip down memory lane in all things Australian then this is a must. It’s so much more than shed and has something for everyone. Neil has catered for every person, whether it’s beer you like or not, this is a must visit. You have to take a look at your next visit to Echuca! Neil your a gentlemen - the kids loved you!

The Jewel Cave is amazing. 250 steps down and have to return but worth the experience through the cave. Claire our guide was very informative and could answer all our questions. If you like looking at caves this is an amazing cave to visit.
