We sailed with the nicest crew and group of people (not too crowded, max 25 people) to Green island and the Great Reef Barrier. We snorkeled and some of the guests scuba dived. The crew has very helpful explaining everything and all safety procedures, super nice and friendly. The meal on board was good, they had coffee and pastries in the morning and when sailing back they served us white wine, cheese and crackers, fruit and cake. It was a great day, great experience. - Location CSydney, Australia3 contributionsWe did a day trip from the Cairns Marina to Green Island with Great Adventures (who are owned by Quicksilver). We had to change our accomodation at short notice from Cairns to Trinity Beach. The tour had been booked from Cairns but Colin Thompson (a silver coach driver from Quicksilver) offered to pick us up and bring us into town, and then changed his schedule for our return trip so that we could make it to a planned dinner date the same evening. Colin made the inconvenience of changing locations so much easier for us. He is very kind and understanding. We recommend Great Adventures Green Island Day Trip., the water was smooth and clear and the staff so helpful. - Paul H1 contributionStevo, our driver, was both professional and humorous during our amazing experience on the Jet boat extreme ride.
My daughter, girlfriend and myself all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the high adrenaline rush and breathtaking views whilst riding the waves at high speed!
Additional bonus seeing 2 dolphins!
Would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something that little bit different with an adrenaline kick, yet be prepared to get soaked through to the bone!

We were lucky enough to come across a large pod of dolphins so stopped while they swam around and under the skiis. They were patient (equalizing can take time!) and knowledgeable about diving and the GBR. - Matt Herron4 contributionsI’ve been in Australia now for 5 months and this has blown me out of the water and knocked the socks off everything I have done so far.
We went snorkelling, to Whitehaven beach and around the islands and it was nothing less than stunning. I’d like to give a massive Thankyou to the crew as they played a huge roll in making my experience the best it possibly could be. Ayla or being a fantastic deckmate with loads of energy, JMac for getting us around safe and sound and being an all round donny. Ben for cooking up some fantastic meals and feeding me and Larissa for being an awesome instructor.
If you are thinking about doing Whitsundays I could not recommend the new horizon more. - Alex BStone Mountain, Georgia, United States10 contributionsBooked a half day (morning) fishing charter on the Predator. Had a group of folks ranging from novices to experienced fisherman and from 10-45 years old (three dads and the kids). Mitch and Matt were super helpful with all of us and we caught some great fish both reef/bottom fishing and trolling. We also had the great experience of feeding a fish (that wouldn't have survived release due to damage from hook) to a nearby Sea Eagle as well as spotting a sea turtle while bottom fishing. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in a half day on the water, and if we ever make it back to Hamilton Island will definitely use this group again. - Lisa B2 contributionsThe introductory diving with this Reef tour was outstanding. I have an intest fear of dicing but wanted to face my fears. Kristeen was awesome. She was patient and calm and encouraging and I can know say that I have scuba dived the great barrier reef. I have the certificate to prove it. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Best add on ever spent.

The commentary from our guide was informative, the views are great, especially when the sun sets, and you get to see the night lights of Melbourne. - Jo LSydney, Australia54 contributionsHere from Sydney for a family holiday and wanted my 9 year old to experience a jet boat ride. My husband and I had been on them in NZ. My son loved it. Braydon communicated well and made sure we were all ok throughout the ride. He was funny, enthusiastic and a bit cheeky! He did more 360 degree turns than expected which was great. The water was choppy but Braydon’s driving skills were awesome.
