Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Sue SInvercargill, New Zealand84 contributionsA unique experience. We went out to the outer reef and experienced snorkeling and the submersible. The staff were very helpful because we are seniors and neither of us had one snorkeling before. The fish life is amazing.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Keating M3 contributionsMost AMAZING reef ever!! LOOK OUT GREAT BARRIER REEF!!! Ningaloo is a unique reef bursting with life. Just watch out for stingers (like bluebottles). I recommend using Ocean Eco Adventures for a tour of the reef. Amazing manta rays and whale sharks!!!Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LovistaMollymook, Australia217 contributionsThis snorkeling day out was simply the best. The clarity of the water and marine life, friendliness and knowledge of the staff, 3 snorkel sites all unique. Best marine photos ever! I will identify that black fish with white spots eventually :DWritten 6 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - caddyandbellAPerth, Australia5,799 contributionsWe have been to Exmouth a few times and have also dont the Oyster Stacks. It was brilliant even though the weather had turned and the wind had picked up.At high tide it can be a bit difficult to find a spot to get into the water,Especially if you are wearing flippers.Pnce in you are surrounded bu beautiful corals and a huge diverse array of fish. You need to swim to the stacks though where the fish hide under the stack.Massive fish and in huge numbers.Just be careful if the sea gets a bit rough as you dont want to wash up onto the stacks which is easy to do.Again getting out can be an issue too but so well worth itWritten 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chesterm8Melbourne, Australia7 contributionsAn amazing dive site, so many things to see. Invertribates, schools of fish, sharks, rays, groupers...

There are 2 binoculars to view the rocks. Likely, The shorter one is focused on the spot where seals like to sunbathe. We arrived after 1pm and tides were rising and slowly covered up more of the rocks. Wonderful experience.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BradHong Kong, China178,291 contributionsWe recently spent a few nights in Exmouth and enjoyed exploring the Ningaloo Coastline, array of beautiful sandy beaches, shallow turquoise coloured waters as well as the remarkable arid landscape and gorges of the Cape Range National Park.
This is a great area for lazy days at the beach, snorkelling as well as scenic drives and hiking around Mandu Mandu, Yardie Creek and the Charles Knife Drive area. A shout out for the small town of Exmouth as well for the very good breweries, restaurants and general setup there for hosting travellers seeking to spend time visiting this unique location in WA.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The weather was a bit choppy and windy but they had travel sickness tablets on board.
The staff were super... every one of them. They were friendly, helpful and very professional.
We didn't realise that it takes nearly 2 hours to get to the Great Barrier Reef! We visited Norman Reef for snorkelling today. The snorkeling equipment was to a good standard. The crew safety standards and checks were thorough too.
Food on board was good with plenty of options for vegetarians.
For us the second snorkelling spot was better than the first. In choppy waters, having a buoyancy aid really helped me. I recommend this company.Written 29 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sucheta MaratheIndia61 contributionsWe visited Green Island in the morning and then came to Norman reef to spend a full day after 50-55 minutes of bumpy ride (as sea was rough). Once on platform, it was all good.
Snorkeling was a great experience ( we had put on snorkels for the first time) . It makes you forget everything when you dive underwater ...calm and quiet world of fish and colorful corals....!
Our daughter got a brief training for Scuba Diving and enjoyed her dive the most. We also went for semi-submersible boat ride which was good.
The buffet lunch had very limited options for vegetarians like me.
Scuba-Doo (under water scooter) is also another good option for people who do not want to attempt Scuba-diving.
If you intent to do snorkeling, scuba diving , semi-submersible and all other activities then time is very limited hence need to plan your time well.
People with health issues probably have to skip all under water activities. Then, the only way to see corals and fish is semi-submersible.
You might have visited many places across the globe but the under water world is different and hence Reef visit is a life time experience!!Written 6 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. An amazing experience seeing the water flow off the reef - going up channels on the reef in the small boats - lots of wildlife - birds, turtles, etcWritten 5 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tony W1 contributionI have been snorkelling on the Omeo wreak for about six months the fish life is very beautiful with many different types of fish. IT is a very fragile wreck and has to be looked after by all who dive around herWritten 12 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
