Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Jemma14 contributionsAmazing the whole trip to get there.
We had a 9 year old with us so opted for the boat ride to the start of the track . Glad we did this . The boat ride was Awsome and the track was very steep so was easier to start this way . The island has wild monkeys on it which was a massive highlight as the followed us through the trees .
The walk itself is steep and take a lot of water if a hot day . The temple was incredible. I suggest to time it right if you can so the sun comes through the hole and lights up the temple. We did pay for a tour guide this can be done by yourself :)Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This place used to be just a normal temple. But now has developed a lot. It is decorated with stucco and trees. very ornamental flowers This place is also a place to listen to the Dharma and the Dharma camp for children. And there is a hospital for the elderly as well.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John KCosta Mesa, CA2,447 contributionsNote that there are two ways to reach this place. One is off of highway 4020, which leads you to the ranger station where you can hire a boat. The other is off of highway 4, which leads you to a wooden boardwalk. My review is of the boat trip off of highway 4020.
I showed up here around 10AM, hardly anyone around but when I asked if I could hire a boat, someone made a phone call and within a few minutes a boatman arrived. Be aware that not much English is spoken here, but basic communication is still possible. The boat fee is the same no matter how many are in your group - 500 thb. Trip lasted about an hour. Lots of bird life, although it's off in the distance - if you want good bird photos be sure to bring more than just a phone to take photos with. Lotus flowers were sparse, but I knew this before I arrived. The boatman said the flowers come in around December.
Be aware, as others have noted, that if you come from Hua Hin, your navigation app will have you turn off highway 4020 onto an unnamed road which turns to dirt in 50 meters. This is not the correct road. Stay on the highway another few kilometers until you reach Samroiyod 6. From here navigation is correct. When you reach the sign for the ranger station at the end of the paved roadway, turn left and drive to the water's edge.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hike was quite steep initially but slowly eased out. There were also multiple viewpoints to take photos at during the hike.
The beach itself was clean and relatively quiet with both locals and tourists. There were also individual and double swings which served as good photo spots. We saw some tourist asking the tourism people (in purple tops) working there to help them take photos which they seem polite and obliging about.
After the hike to and fro Phraya Nakhon cave. We wanted to take a boat back to the main entrance as we figured the view would be the same. However, the waves were too big and no boats were operating. So we had to hike back. The hike back was easier though.
Would recommend to do the hike to the beach to maximise your trip to the Phraya Nakhon cave.Written 27 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lasse TSoendersoe, Denmark87 contributionsFixed my lower back pain in two sessions. Something several chiropractors and physiotherapists have spend more than ten years treating without results. If you suffer from sciatica then you will be amazed with the result.
