From the car park lay by, there is a 5 minute walk downhill to a viewing platform and the sight of the Falls is amazing - so much bigger than we expected.

It’s a great little walk through nature with incredible vegetation, rushing water, waterfalls, and caves.
It is just near the start of the Aranui cave tour, near Car Park B. This is one of the prettiest walks I've done.

The car park was full when we got to the falls and the bush walk was easy to the top of the falls and although going down was easy, coming up was more testing, but you can take your time and admire the scenery.
Amazing nature without lookouts from different heigts down to the natural pool.

If you love nature and taking worthwhile photos then I recommend taking a drive out here and use the road hugging the coastline from Raglan.
The car park is just up a narrow steep hill on the right - just park up and walk out to the viewing point and its beautiful!

The Google map guided us to Thomton Road and we walked down to the lake through "Flow form track". Afterward we found out the car park of the lake is located next to Albert Street.
I have a long association with this lake because I went to St Peters Catholic Primary school and the nuns would take us down there frequently for nature study.

From the car park cross the road and walk down a slope past fields to the entrance of the bush, this is quite steep, but a lovely place of peace and gentleness, trees are mature and magnificent.
It is a bit of a walk from where you park your car but once you enter the bush it is like being in Lord of the Rings.
