The museum offers you several floors of interesting historical and cultural stuff: ancient history, history of Kazakh khanate, history of Kazakhstan during the USSR, and history of modern Kazakhstan.

It is definitely unusual to see a museum dedicated to one president (especially as he's still alive), and the hero worship on show is the real attraction.
Although it is not the museum to visit in Astana/Kazakhstan, I think it would be a very interesting museum to visit if you have the time and you are within the area.
