Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stunning forest and amazing things to look at. Falls were great. Facilities were adequate. Paths well marked. Slightly strenuous but worth it.

Visited 21/9/23. Very easy access to falls. Had car park as well as rest room. Short walk from car park. The falls was flowing at its fullest. Wish there is a way to get to the bottom of the falls.

Pretty place to go for a walk. Can get slippery near the water of course so good to wear proper shoes. There are some tables nearby for picnics. No steps to get down to the bottom of the falls if you need that.

We parked in the layby and walked only a few steps to find ourselves beside the top of the falls and then proceeded down a dozen or so steps to have a fantastic close up view as the waters rushed past. Great waterfall!

Another amazing waterfall in the area. There was plenty of signs on the road from the direction I came from. As well google maps have it spot on.

There a small car park on the side on the road. (Road is very whiny so take care) there are no toilets. There are a couple of picnic benches with seats.

There looks like there are a few walking tracks in the area according to map out front. But I didn't have the time sadly. The main track to the waterfall is clear. It's only dirt track so take care.

The waterfall is beautiful. If it is warm enough you could take a dip. It wasn't quite warm enough for me.

    Hopefully I'll be back soon.

It was raining in summer, but so glad I put on my jacket and walk in. There are two paths an west and east.

I took the west path. There are some steps steps but worth it. Amazing views and you follow the rushing creek.
There is a nice platform at the falls to admire it. It would look amazing in full flow.
I came back on the east path a very flat path. But if you fitness up to it to the full loop it's so worth it.

The car park is nice and big, with two eating shelters and toilets.

Beautiful place to visit with your family on Gunai/Kurnai country. Don’t be afraid to climb the rocks with your young ones, obviously if safe to do so. Look out for lizards and small fish. So nice to see all the new growth since the fires come through!
A short distance from the car park, rocky, dirt track with stairs.

I headed about 6ks out of Orbost on Bogong Road ... I was watching for signs and the sign was reasonably good to 'Young's Creek Picnic Ground'. I turned right into the track and this is where you will need to slow down as it's unsealed. There are many signs of the recent bushfires but there is something exquisite about how regrowth occurs in Australia.

Follow this road for about 4k's ... there will be turns as well but they are all signposted. Whilst a four wheel drive is best... any car should be able to handle this road.

There is a carpark with a drop toilet at the picnic grounds. There is also a piece of old machinery that speaks of times bygone. There are picnic tables and there is an old BBQ plate nearby. The path is reasonable... probably not reasonable enough for wheelchair access. However, the walk to the falls is not an arduous one so any fitness level should be able to do the walk. There are other walks in the area depending on your level of fitness.

What you will immediately notice is the sound of birdlife and you will see them scurrying about under trees. I did also hear kookaburras laughing merrily in the bush.

The walk to the falls from the carpark is only a fifteen minute walk... it's very pretty and quite reasonable to traverse. Once you get to the falls there is a lookout. I was here in the middle of Winter and while you could hear the water, there was not gushing falls. What you will see is stunning landscape though... the air is fresh and it's quite picturesque. It started to rain before I got back to the car which stopped me from exploring other walks...but I would have loved to. It really is a stunning area.. well worth making your way to.
