Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- DougoOzSydney, Australia13,090 contributionsWhat a stunning Np this area is. We recently busted parts of the Watagans with a family member... thank goodness he had a 4WD although we did see “ regular” sedans / cars driving up there, some of the roads are definitely not suited for anything other than a 4WD IMO.
We visited lookouts at Monkey Face, Gals Credk Lookout, Heaton’s Lookout for fabulous views over the Lake Macquarie area and also Boarding House Creek Picnic area which was stunning.
The great thing about this NP is that there are camping areas and lookouts so many can visit the Park but you can also have an area with few people there .. it never feels crowded.
We saw several people on trail bikes and several more on mountain bikes too .. something for everyone.Written 19 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
