Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having the VIP Seats with the cushions was the best decision ever, I am sorry to everyone who was sitting on the concrete. VIP seats came with light snacks and coffee/tea. Nothing to write home about, however. Definitely get dinner beforehand. Overall, the show was amazing! So many theatrics that I didn't expect to see. The Prambanan Temple lit in the background was the cherry on top. Add this to your Jogja Itinerary.

This museum is built to commemorate mount Merapi eruption in 2010. Mount Merapi is one of most active volcano in the world. This museum is not well maintained and little bit creepy. The main attraction is a mount Merapi models that simulate eruptions.

First, I think you can only reach this museum as part of a Jeep tour of Mt. Merapi. However, make sure this is one of the stops on the tour--it's well worth it. It's less a museum than an exhibition of what remains of a village that was destroyed in the volcanic eruption of 2010. The intense heat instantly melted and burned everything, while the ash preserved it. (In addition about 350 people died, along with a lot of livestock.) Today what remains are eerie skeletons of cattle, and twisted furnishings--still recognizable from everyday life: the kitchen utensils, garden tools, bed frames, and even TVs, VCRs and computers. It's even more poignant because these aren't far-off items like at Pompeii, but the same brands and models of items that I used to own. It just really brings the tragedy home, and makes it all the more touching.

Even this place is good for the scenery but we have to wait till dusk to see the beautiful shiny lamp around the area. But it will be nice place to finish your tour around Merapi Volcano and place around it. And the entrance ticket is so reachable for even a local tourist.

Its a good place to go if you love to take photos, can see the mt
Merapi but unfortunately when we went there, if foggy so we can't see the mountain clearly.
The weather also not too hot compare to Yogyakarta City.
We tried the slider down the aisle, its quite fun. Cost IDR 10.000/Slide

My friends and I visited Spring Mary Cave Jatiningsih due to we would like to pray ourse for better life resolutions in 2018. After Christmas we visited here and healing our souls and prayed to Mother Mary. The location is about 1H20Minutes to reach there using car from Yogyakarta. No entry ticket and you will found may souvenir seller outside the entrance. Also you will find the holy water inside. The last, the atmosphere was very nice and there is a huge river outside the cliff. Happy Praying and Pilgrimage.

Bhumi Merapi ; It's good place to spend the time with your families. It took about 30 minutes from Tugu Jogja. They have a lot of spot to take pictures which is so instragamable. Also, some activities such as feeding some rabbits, sheep, deer & horse riding.
