... the interactive guided tour which added to the experience and gave a totally unique perspective on gold post boxes!! Joking aside, It's a must see / have a photo taken / appreciate the significance landmark.
Of course us locals have our picture with it!! It’s easy to find as it’s on the high street in Dunblane, in view from the post box is the Cathedral - definitely pop there if you have extra time.

Off the beaten track but well worth a visit, really enjoyed the visit, nice friendly staff and good guides , shop is worth a visit, kids enjoyed it, great view from the top.
I normally dislike the audio guides, but in this case you get the double-whammy of Terry Jones (Monty Python) and Sam Heughan (Outlander) giving some great tidbits about the site, tying ancient and modern together...

Strolling around the back led us to a cemetery, and a resting place on top of a big rock with lovely views of the cemetery, the castle from afar, ruins and mountains.
In the middle of the cemetery there is small hill with great view towards the castle.
