Our guide Pauline was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the Alsace region that we would never have found out ourselves. The trip itself was great and we loved seeing all the places we visited.... I'm sure we would never have found these ourselves. We loved Colmar so much that we booked a train and visited again during our holiday. Thanks Pauline as you were brilliant....on your recommendations, I now know that I love Malana's (traditional brioche bread shaped like a man!), Cremant....which is the same as champagne but cannot be called champagne and we had the best meal at the lovely and oldest restaurant in Strasbourg which again Pauline told us about - so thank you so much! Myriam was lovely, told us a lot about the places we visited, and answered all of our questions. - fozwandererMansfield, Australia180 contributionsColmar is an enchanting town but it's great to get out into the nearby towns, villages and countryside covered in vineyards. This day trip organised by Ophorus Tours was the perfect opportunity. Our tour guide was Thierry who gave us a wonderful explanation of all things Alsace. He had a lovely sense of humour and a wide knowledge of the region which he imparted in an informative and entertaining way. The nine seater van we travelled in was comfortable and stops frequent and well-timed. We started with an enjoyable wine tasting in Eguisheim followed by a stroll around its quaint circular streets within ancient walls. We had the chance to look at other towns such as Turckheim before having free time including lunch at Riquewihr. Thierry pointed out suitable restaurants to choose from. In the afternoon the highlight was a visit to Haut Koenigsbourg Castle. Thierry had spent time there previously as a guide so was able to expertly bring its history alive for us. From our first communication to our last, he was prompt and courteous. He took care of us from the very start of the trip until he escorted us to the train for our return trip.

The delicious mezze consisted of humus, baba ghanoug, fattoush, tabboule and French fries was already served on the table when we arrived. - Rosemary VLakeland, FL4 contributionsWhat a pleasure to travel with Steph and Kristophe! The teslas are beautiful. They are safe drivers and we really enjoyed seeing the beautiful villages in the Alsace region. My husband has arthritis and they were both so thoughtful and patient with our tours.

Great driver, easy pickup in Colmar and fun, open bus took us through the neighboring towns. We learned a lot about the Alsace region and enjoyed walking through the medieval towns. We also took a train ride and had a delicious wine tasting before returning to Colmar.
