We stayed at the Holiday Inn and used the park next door which is very convenient. We had fun with the kids.
Pros:
Very convenient
Short lines (aside from VR slide)
New VR slide
The Abyss, wave pool, kids play area, lazy river,
The floor is rough and is the type that you can easily cut yourself on - suggest watershoes/flip flops
Cons:
VR Slide management: we did experience some glitches - apparently we need to buy a separate ticket for this - which no one told us till we got to the front of the line. AND when we finally got on, one of ours did not work, and they expected us to wait in line all over again.
The rattler tube is very heavy to carry up, I had brought it up and while we were not looking someone took our tube and went down! Clearly some people have no manners. And slide staff did not care enough to stop him.
Park closes early - by 5, we got there by 2, and after 3 the lines started getting long, so we didn’t get a chance to finish the rides or buy any food or drink.
Water is a little cold in December
