- Victor D5 contributionsThe cooking class amazing. We were able to learn how to make tortellini, ravioli, and papperdelli pasta with ragu. We were able to talk to all kinds of people at the class as well and shared the pasta with some free red and white wine and soda. The whole experience was extremely worth it and a great start to our trip in Florence. Would highly recommend you to experience this if you have 3 hours to spare. Definitely a good tour if you’re interested in a short viewing of small town Italian life. The only downside is the descriptions which are a little simplistic , possibly due to losses in translation. Friendly staff. - theGoddardsAustralia19 contributionsStefania was one of the best walking guides we’ve ever had. Her English is extremely good.and her planning was very good.
Going with her was a very efficient and enjoyable way to discover the most important and interesting works in both the Galleria and the Uffizi, and her stories about each work brought them to life and helped us to look at each one in a more informed manner.
We would have got a lot less out of our visits if we’d gone on our own.
The walk between the two places was interesting too, and complemented what Stefania had told us in the galleries.

Walking through Florence was eye-opening with a guide who points out historically important buildings, fountains, statues, and other objects while educating you as to what their significance is and why it is. I could not find the initial meeting point and simply called the number that guided me every step to the destination. - Alexia M33 contributionsOn the 10th of March, I went on the half day "CHIANTI COLOURS & FLAVOURS" tour provided by CiaoFlorence. We left with the bus at 14h30 to the first winery called "Il Molino di Grace". The guide gave us a little tour in the building and then we were able to taste three red wines. The wines were great! They also gave us some bread with their olive oil, cheese and meat to enjoy while tasting. We were able to take pictures around the vineyards afterwards and although the weather wasn't great, the view was still amazing. The second winery we visited was called "Tenuta di Riseccoli". This one was smaller, but the most beautiful one in my opinion. The layout of the guided tour was the same here. We did a little tour first and then tasted three red wines with some bread, cheese and meat. These wines were even better than the ones we tasted in the first winery! During both of the tours, the guides were very passionate and enthusiastic in their own ways. Our tour leader was called Cecilie. She was wonderful. - Jon O11 contributionsA guided tour is the best way to experience a museum like the Uffizi, the sheer number of works on display means that trying to navigate on your own can feel a little overwhelming. We were very pleased that we had Bruce as our guide. He was entertaining and knowledgeable, providing a focused tour that covered all of the major works plus a number of less well known pieces. We were then free to explore the rest of the gallery for as long as it was open.
