Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a couple of pressing reasons to stop at this quite small shopping centre - groceries and other provisions plus breakfast - and it met our needs perfectly. There is a decent-sized Woolies and a very large pharmacy where we were able to purchase what we needed but the highlight for us was the small Degani coffee shop. There was quite a queue for takeaway coffees (in itself a good sign) but they also provide table service for eat-in customers at some nearby tables. Coffee was excellent - and our poached-egg dishes perfectly cooked. Would happily return.

Surprizing to find such nice bushland so close to the city. Even kangaroos! Several benches to sit down and enjoy.

The Poulter Reserve is right by the river and well equipped for summertime fun. It has public BBQs, toilets, a playground, plenty of grass, seats, picnic tables and has cycle paths along the Plenty river valley.

Been coming here for a while and love the rejuvenation of the lake which ensures local parks and sporting fields have their own water supply long into the future.
The project, which we finished in 2013, is an innovative water conservation and quality improvement system to capture, treat and store stormwater underground for use on parks and ovals in Greensborough. Stormwater is being harvested from a main drain flowing into Kalparrin Lake and is then treated, stored and distributed for irrigation use in neighbouring sport and recreation reserves at Partington’s Flat, Whatmough Park and Greensborough Park.
The Kalparrin Lake project features a ‘double-decker' design with a wetland built on top of an underground storage which is partly filled with light volcanic rock called ‘scoria'. The stormwater is cleaned by the wetland and algae building up on the scoria and then further treated through a sand filter and ultra-violet light.
The Kalparrin Lake project will harvest up to 17 Olympic swimming pools worth of stormwater per year, representing about $110,000 of value.
Key water quality improvements include the removal of approximately 50 tonnes of litter, 120 tonnes sediment, 700 kilograms nitrogen and 200 kilograms phosphorous from stormwater flows to Kalparrin Lake, Plenty and Yarra Rivers.
    Improved habitat for local wildlife.
    Come along and try it.

The park is just a lot of grass, but it does have the Plenty River Trail through it. I enjoyed my walk through here.

Wow, this reserve is big. At 10.12 hectare the Anthony Beale Reserve is located next to historic St Katherine's Church in St. Helena, and enjoys beautiful views because of its elevation. The reserve comprises the historic St Katherine’s Church, two sporting ovals, a playground and remnant bushland.
Anthony Beale took up land near the Plenty River around 1841 where he built his home, which he named St Helena after the island of Saint Helena where he was born. His wife, Katherine, died at the estate in 1856, and in 1858 Beale built a small private chapel in her memory in their garden, built out of bricks produced on the estate. Beale died in 1865 and is buried with his wife and other family members in the adjoining Church cemetery. The chapel was later turned into a parish church by Beale’s son-in-law. Artist Walter Withers, of the Heidelberg School, is also buried in the Church's small cemetery.
I am quite enamoured by the history of this place but also the general vibe. It's relaxed but also somewhat haunting. The aspect from the reserve is very nice.

In a shaded river valley, this trail is well made and leads through various environments, taking your mind far from the busy traffic not far away. There are old trees and also various exit points to other journeys, parks, and food stops.

Set right by the river, with parking on site, the Pioneer reserve harkens back to the first bridge over the Plenty River. Here there is the Plenty River Trail, a playground, sheltered BBQs, picnic tables and seating. A good spot for summer.

The park is very much a large expanse of grass for playing fields and also has parking and tennis courts. It is by the river and gives easy access to the Plenty River Trail and nearby Whatmough Reserve.

Nice monument remembering wars fought and lives lost. There is a monument wall with the wars listed and honouring 15 men from the area who were killed in battle. Set in a nice park area across from Woolworths. There is a sporting area next to the park and in the park there is a small children's playground with basic equipment, picnic tables, BBQ and shady areas. there's also plenty of parking in the area. It was a pleasant stroll through the small park. Not somewhere to deviate to get to- but if there, take a minute to remember and pay respects. I wouldn't make a special trip!

Visited with my young family and after our swim we went into the female showers to rinse the chlorine off and there was faeces in the bottom of the shower. The family change rooms smelled strongly of urine. Will never take my family there again!
