Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We cannot express enough gratitude to our guide Thomas. All the sights we visited were absolutely amazing. The palace at Chiemsee, the Bavarian Alps and finally Salzburg were magical. Once again, thank you Tomas for unforgettable day. I highly recommend this trip if you want to see things and spend a day in great company and see places.

Carlos was an exceptional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful tour guide. He gave excellent recommendations through the trip and helped us throughout the day with making bookings and getting the best views. I would highly recommend him to anyone going to Salzburg.

Was a fabulous experience on a day with wonderful weather. The lake cruise, the trip to the Eagles Nest, and then to Salzburg were all enhanced by our knowledgeable private guide. Thomas did an EXCELLENT job of interacting with our family, and helping personalize the experience as much as he possibly could for us. He went out of his way to help show a number of sights in Salzburg that our family wanted to see. He was patient and kind and the whole experience was great. Blessed by great weather too.

My understanding, as was same with the other English speaking couple, on this tour today, it was to be an English speaking tour. We were joined with another couple, English was not their first language. Hence, on numerous occasions the guide spoke at great length in German, then a brief English interpretation was given. Both myself & the other English speaking couple spoke of our disappointment with the vast amount of German spoke, maybe we should just chat among ourselves. It's also worth noting, that three out of the five guests were the foreigners, we don't automatically know or remember names of places, mountains, rivers mentioned when asking again ...what/where do you mean? & Told, by the guide I mentioned all this before...

On the positive side of the tour, we arrived there & back safely. The location was stunning, very picturesque. The Alps are breathtaking.

We had a private tour with this gentleman and it was fantastic. It was just my wife and me and we were a little reluctant at first to be the only ones going on the trip, but it turned out to be fantastic. Mr. Toth was very knowledgeable, energetic, helpful and enthusiastic about the trip. I am not sure if he does this for everyone, but he took us on a side trip to Ramsau bei Berchtesgaten and we fell in love with the little town. 10/10. Definitely recommend this tour guide for your group, couples or solo excursions in western Austria Salzburg.

A must do when in this area
We booked the tour as I found out during my research before the trip about the Hitler’s eagle’s nest.
I really wanted to see it but unfortunately due to snowfall in September this year we could not see it. Bernie still made the day so much more than I expected: From driving to the remains of the original house of Hitler to the see some of the other remains to the documentation center including the bunker systems and then to the top of a mountain to get almost the same view as from the eagle’s nest. We also saw a nice lake (I do not remember the lake any more) and the spectacular nature there. Absolutely outstanding. If you like the history of World WarII a definite must see!

At the last minute we booked a trip with Sepp, the Bavarian Guide. Knowing that my dad is very interested in WWII history, Sepp was able to create a more personalized tour for us! He was super easy to work with. We had a wonderful time and would recommend his tours to anyone that is on the fence about booking as I was! I had a tour booked to Salzburg for the day and canceled it to do this tour and we are so happy we did!

Laro was amazing! He is a very knowledgeable and personable person and gave a great tour of everything. He had the Königsee tickets already and made the experience top notch. He became a fast friend. If i had known he was so great, i would have booked all our Germany tours with him. He was truly the best.

We recently returned from a trip to Munich for Oktoberfest; we were in Munich for about a week.

Several months ahead of our trip, I put together a list of places to see besides the beer tents. I emailed a number of tour providers with the list and asked for suggestions and an itinerary for the places we wanted to see. Most of the tour providers responded with a very limited plan – they either didn’t go everywhere, had limited ideas, or could only fulfill part of our itinerary.

Stefan Rieg of “Sightseeing Bavaria Exclusive” responded with a complete 3-day plan covering all of our requirements as well as additional suggestions to round out the days. The plan gave us time to enjoy Oktoberfest and time on our own in Munich. All subsequent correspondence was timely, professional, and allowed us to make changes to the plan. None of the other tour providers was so thorough.

After arrival in Munich, our guide Katrin met us as planned and shepherded my group of 4 for 3 long days. Katrin is very knowledgeable about the destinations and guided us safely on our journeys. She was very accommodating to on-the-fly plan changes and extending the day to see additional sites; she also was very capable of assisting with a few challenges faced along the way. An added and unexpected dimension was Katrin’s emotions when we visited some locations, and she readily shared her experiences growing up in the east. These conversations made our experience one that we will remember.

I highly recommend that you contact Stefan for your tour requirements!

This tour is overpriced for what it is. In the winter months the buses only run every 90 minutes. We went to get the 10am bus - the first of the day- and it arrived 10 minutes late. Later in the day it was nearly 20 minutes late getting to Hellbrun palace- no point in having a timetable really. The commentary was a bit sparse in places and really did not tell us much about the city

Königsee is one of the most beautiful spots in Europe. Our guide was Marianne Lenz and she was extremely pleasant, very knowledgeable not only about the tour but also about the history of the region. We truly enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend Marianne for any tours in the Berchtesgaden area.

We had a wonderful day tour w/ guide, Michael Toth. As we have found with the locals throughout our trip, Michael was punctual and accommodating and took us on stunning side trips that we would not have known to visit. If this is your first trip to Salzburg, the only way to familiarize yourself w/ the sites and history of the area is with a tour like this. Michael is highly recommended because besides being knowledgeable, he is also just a lot of fun!! Skip the big tour groups and go private! Well worth it!!

The unique beauty of this area is something not to be missed. The cruises are really fun and informative. Many provide a taste of the local Krauter Liqueur--Jagermeister is perhaps the most commonly known such drink in the US. The salt mines in this part of the world have been used for centuries. Some were also used by the Nazis to hide the art, treasures and money stolen during World War II as made famous by the movie "Momunent Men"
