Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Alex D1 contributionMy mom and I went to the Joseph Perrier Champagne house on January 6th of 2025 and it was honestly an amazing experience. Definitely worth it if you are looking for a more “niche” and classic champagne tasting experience. Our tour guide, Vincent, was extremely nice and attentive and gave us a great tour. Worth checking it out if you are in the region.Written 13 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ToujoursLaRouteParis, France1,253 contributionsWe took the day boat tour, lasting some 45 minutes. Strange experience, to visit the city on a boat. Spectacular underground galleries. Nice explanations from Michel, a very experimented and knowledgeble. Plenty of information about this old town, about the bridges, churches, statues etc. A real must do!Written 19 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nics218City of Issoire, France493 contributionsThis beautiful church boasts some wonderful stained glass and is well worth a visit. The outside has some of the original stonework.Written 21 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ArdonChalons-en-Champagne, France145 contributionsThis cathedral looks down on the mooring for the canal boat family. We are fortunate to hear the lovely bells ringing and the sun setting on the gold cross on the end of the roof. Gothic and the prose of the city of Chalons em Champagne who gave her sons to a thankless war. Stunning building worth a visit any time. Moving Bastille ceremony and D day.Written 16 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ASG43Greenhithe, UK367 contributionsThey are only open to professionals. Their champagne is good but you can only buy it from their resellers. The only reason they sold me some of their 740 was because one of the retailers in Epernay didn't have it and the other one was closed. I was not offered a degustation. So don't bother trying to book an appointment.Written 14 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ArdonChalons-en-Champagne, France145 contributionsNot the usual bronze in the middle of a roundabout. The flowing cape is most eye catching. So who is this guy? Jean Talon! Well the story goes that he was in part , responsible for sending single, orphaned or incarcerated girls to Quebec to assist in building its population due to it being. French colony. Interesting dinner table conversation.Written 14 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AnnieMacEdinburgh, UK4,366 contributionsWhat a beautiful old church that’s a bit quirky as the walls are squint. Near the shopping area so easy to stumble upon when out wandering.Written 5 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - d-feggssurrey32 contributionsThis is a small museum in a small city with a small price tag (four euros). Don't expect the Louvre! Also, it's in France so, guess what, the majority of the notices are in French!
At the time we went, there was a temporary exhibition about circus animals as well as the standing displays of medieval church items; paintings from several time periods; WW1 finds; and a myriad of stuffed birds.
Expect to be there an hour or so. Enjoy!Written 14 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. However it has a fairly unusual headstone with a skull etc. which is off to the right as you enter the cemetery.
Worth the five minutes walk to get there.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Idap_txDriftwood, TX95 contributionsThe people were so nice, even though my French sucks. They were very helpful in showing me how to look up my family history and we spoke in both French and English.
The difficult part was due to the fact that prior to the revolution the calendar was different and add that everything is in French (in really fancy script) it is quite daunting.
