What travellers are saying
- Kimia Khaneghah26 contributionsThe Wadi is amazing. Its desert meets tropical climate meets fresh water meets mountains. Really nice temperature to swim in as well. Even in the summer months! What I don't see here is guidance that the water is actually quite deep. Reaching over 3 meters at some points so recommended that you are a decent swimmer.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Y. A.16 contributionsbeautiful place. Rent a car before you go there - amazing colors for the water. Don't go during Eid season since it was very crowded, we couldn't swim in the water.
make sure to go early morning, we went around noon, and it was very hot.
Ladies should wear conservative clothes (not above the knee, and no spaghetti straps)
make sure to make a stop later to "Fins" beach, it's very close to the sinkhole.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - moriTehran, Iran2 contributionsnice country with kind people ، but expensive ، you can rent a car and visit another cities expect muscat like nizwa , bahla , sur and salalehWritten 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Syed SaifMuscat, Oman21 contributionsThis definitely is one of the best beaches in Muscat and having a long walk there feels therapeutic. Anytime of the day is suitable to visit this place and is also lined with fine cafes which makes it even better.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- FoodiePhiliThiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), India332 contributionsA great experience when you travel to Muscat.. The drive from Muscat to Qantab itself is great, and once you reach the beach its quite unique in its views.
Boating is available for those who like that. Avoid summer as its typically hot.Written 5 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Marine G10 contributionsAl Sifah is a friendly clean resort. - marekp59Gdansk, Poland1,784 contributionsThese mountains reach 3,000 meters above sea level. Spread amongst the desert and semi-desert, they form a rocky green island on the sandy sea. It is amazing to ride these mountains. Short one-day trips to the deep canyons are amazing. I don't know if you can go there on a trek of several days, if so it would be great to come there. Absolutely Hajjar Mountains must see.Written 12 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jörg FischerBerlin, Germany366 contributionsThis is really a lovely place. Many amazing fishes. Our highlight was a very close feeding of penguins. Even the aquarium is smaller than in Dubai. It was nice. It is tricky to find. Even TripAdvisor does not know the Mall of Muscat:-(. You need to look for Oman Aquarium.Written 6 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Richard G4 contributionsAl Ansab wetland is a tucked away, requires a taxi or car to reach and is nestled next to a water treatment works. Doesn't sound attractive does it!? Don't be put off. In 2 hours I saw more species of plant and animal at this site then in the rest of Muscat combined. If you're looking for a manicured tourist experience this isn't for you. Although the paths are good, the landscaping attractive and the bird hides are comfortable, regular benches and view points also help. You even get a lift round part of the reserve in a 4 x 4 (must book on the Haya water website before arriving). However, if you want to see a model for how heavy industry/development and biodiverse wildlife may coexist - this is the place to come. Why don't we see more of this type of initiative in Oman and everywhere?!Written 22 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mohameddanishManama, Bahrain68 contributionsa gourgeous vally with resonable watrer level. it is a breath taking place. you need a very good guide and a driver to take you there. I do not recommend staying until late in the evening and you should leave when there is still light i.e before sun set. if you suffer a desk or back pain don't go.Written 19 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
