There is a meet and greet person at the Grange car park who looked after us straight away and the minibus soon whisked us to this lovely oasis.
Easy to park at the Grange Community car park and get on the NT (free) bus.
Cowdray Park
#2 of 5 Nature & Parks in Midhurst
We had a wonderful 2 days at Cowdray Park for a team event - gorgeous rooms, beautiful food, plenty of space and entertainment for the group in such a stunning settling.
If favourite places crop up in your personal memory they may include the tranquil and richly peaceful Cowdray Park.
South Downs National Park

If you’re a first-time visitor, inquisitive, enjoy walking and the Great Outdoors make for Blackdown, at 960’ the highest point in West Sussex and the South Downs National Park.
All of history from stone age to modern has a number of fascinating places representing human habitation though out the park area and I particularly recommend the Weald and Downland Museum at Singleton and the Amb...

Bepton Down
#4 of 5 Nature & Parks in Midhurst
Great place to walk with good pubs nearby and the Park House Hotel for luxury.
We parked up at he side of the road in Bepton village, not sure if there is a proper car park, but anyway in November there was virtually no-one around!
West Dean Gardens Chichester 9.5 km away

This is a great, rather large, well-kept garden and park, with a fantastic collection of plants, including some unusual ones.
It is a delightfully pleasant way to spend time with my son, we have watched the flower borders change monthly, enjoyed the freedom of running or strolling barefoot on grass and connecting with nature.

If you are fit enough to climb up to the highest part of the nature reserve (it's quite a climb if you choose the most direct route), there are amazing 360 views.
Both car parks require at least 30-45minutes walk (depending on your pace) up the hill to enjoy those amazing views from the top overlooking some of the South Downs all the way to Portsmouth and the Channel.

The house itself has a very "personal" feel and paints a very realistic picture of the "upstairs downstairs" nature of 17th Century life.
The restaurant in a separate block to the main house was good , as was the shop.Do have a look out from the car park into the distance for the big arch , through which guests of old would enter from the Chichester...
Petersfield Lake Petersfield, UK 13.7 km away
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Petersfield
We wanted to walk our dogs on holiday and enjoyed the peaceful ambience, the large free car park, the well made path, the birdlife (courting Great Crested Grebes) and the Plump Duck Café (reviewed separately)
Parked in the free car park (bonus) began our walk around the lake, so glad we took sweet corn and garden peas for the ducks and swans, they loved it, plenty to feed there, nice walk round, 1.85 km round the lake...

Fantastic and unique experience, my father and I really enjoyed flying the birds next to nature on a wonderful woodland walk, Kevin is a very professional bird handler with beautiful birds,a lovely memory to have,...
Meeting nature up close and personal is always very humbling, being able to look into the owls eyes, watch them fly to your glove, or in some cases the kestrel would sit on your bobble hat which was just wonderful.
