Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- PavlaPavlaChrudim, Czech Republic7,725 contributionsMy partner and I visited several Christmas markets in Vienna. The one on Belvedere was one of the smaller ones, and at the stalls they here mostly offered food and drink. It was nice to walk around and see what the vendors had to offer. And yes, there were a lot of people here (as in all the Christmas markets in Vienna).Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - robynqldThornlands, Australia198 contributionsThis is one of the best Christmas Markets we went to. We stayed for 2 nights and returned for a wander, drinks- both Gluewien and Egg Nog along with the delicious cheesy potatoes and bacon 3 times. There were unique Christmas gifts and decorations. We took some back for family Christmas gifts to Australia .The atmosphere was excellent. We visited 19 Christmas markets in 5 countries and this one was No 1. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Written 14 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- marek_stycosNew York, New York, United States3 contributionsI will not fly to Vienna without a visit with Andrzej Koch of Der Schweizer. He is a character! Dubbed "The Kaiser", because he is the undisputed emperor of Käsen, your stop here can be a quick in and out, but I recommend planning an hour to sample not only the cheeses, but the wines! He is a master of ceremonies and a prince at pairing. There is no better way to say, "I love you" than to arrive at your lover's side with a parcel of wine and cheese and the tale behind them, worthy of 1001 Arabian Nights.Written 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
