The gardens are a highlight for sure. They're perfect for a leisurely stroll. It’s easy to spend several hours here just soaking in the atmosphere.

Vienna during Christmas was a dream come true. The decoration, the sightseeing, and the local food and drinks did not disappoint. Each place you visit bares some of its history in the building itself

Well, the building alone is a piece of art. Likely our visit was easier due to time of year/less crowds. Yet the artifacts, accessibility and then the incredible works of art in the second floor picture gallery - we never made it to the third floor as we had another event to get to and had to leave, yet the layout was superlative. The only odd aspect was we wanted to grab a bite at the restaurant in the early afternoon and - there was a line waiting to be seated - so we left. What do they do in the busy season? Anyway so many great options in Vienna.

Although there wasn't enough time for me to enter the building when I visited the place last July, the Belvedere Palace is such a beautiful, historic building in Vienna and has beautiful gardens & a pond outside the palace. There is additionally a museum inside the building which is also worth a see if you have time in hand (if I ever visit Vienna again in future, I might try to see the interior of the palace & museum) and both the palace & gardens looked relatively clean & well maintained. Another thing I really liked was that its easily accessible by public transport, being directly beside the buses & trams in the main road which provides good links to Central Vienna and other parts of the city.

The views are nice of the city from the top. The coolest thing was their gigantic church bell which you get to see up close and personal. I would advise you to get there early in the morning, otherwise the lines to the elevator to get to the top get long. The elevator is tiny so only 5 people can go up at one time.

The atmosphere fits to traditional events like the ball we went to. They used a lot of different rooms and gave the event the right surrounding.

The opera in Vienna is one of the world's best and the opera house is beautiful. If you like opera or are curious, you should definitely attend.

You may wonder about attire. First, the Vienese believe in heat. We attended in January, and the opera was toasty: it was also sold out with a large standing room crowd. So, if you are attending in the winter, do not expect it to be cool inside. If you dress too warmly, you better wear layers.

Yes, some men wear tuxedos, and there will be many beautiful gowns. However, I also noticed a few people wearing jeans and one person wearing baggy jeans and a tshirt. Most people make an effort, but it needn't be a designer effort. Black slacks, a nice shirt/sweater, or a black dress will be fine. If you want to go all out, you can, but it's not necessary.

I loved Schönbrunn Zoo! The animals are amazing, especially the pandas and elephants, and the zoo’s setting in the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace grounds is stunning. The only downside was the cold weather during my visit, but it was worth it.

Absolutely incredible place. Every corner tells a story and you want to watch these details as long as you are alive. Everyone should visit this place and feel this magic which is really hard to describe. What are you waiting for? Go and explore it!

We visited in Nov. 2024 and focused our visit on the Chagall exhibit, which was comprehensive, well-curated, and informative about Chagall's life. It was busy--a little too busy--but navigable with some patience.

Visiting was easy--plenty of lockers to store bags and pleasant staff.

I wandered through here when it was mostly closed so there was no admission fee. It was interesting seeing a mostly closed amusement park. I paid €5 to go on an indoor roller coaster which was short but fun. A few food spots were open and the lights on several rides were up and running which added to the atmosphere.

The Gardens were free to enter. In Decmber the fountains are turned off and most of the ponds are empty but there are still long walks to be had with great views. We walked up to the Gloriette - it is much bigger than we expected! And a cafe is in it too. There are lots of follies and other features to look for in the garden too, like the natural spring that gave the place its name, and a pigeon aviary.
