Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Grace Annette C YNew York City, NY1,001 contributionsVisited that museum on a very hot summer day.
The beautiful exhibits were very easy to walk through and the messages were great for environmental conservation.

- motorcar1Dublin, Ireland14,920 contributionsYou have seen the harbour in movies but actually seeing it is truly amazing and I love these super yacht that must be worth a fortune. It is certainly the playground for the rich and famous. Well worth a visit.Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,474 contributionsFabulous building. If you go to Place du Palais, you can get very close to the palace building. It is set in a beautiful square. The changing of guard also occurs at 11.55am each day, but get there early to get a good space as it is crowded. Watch for the guards putting the chains up and you'll know where to stand to get a good viewWritten 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Surrounding and new beach walk is not so faboulos as expected but still great. Toilet and shower available. - Surprise JennyParis, France3 contributionsIt's a very nice, quiet and relaxing place. Just a few minutes away from the majestic Casino of Monaco. The perfect place to get away from the big crowds of tourists too.Written 21 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichiganMom71Clarkston, MI507 contributionsMonaco is beyond beautiful and these gardens do not have a leaf out of place. It is a bit surreal, juxtaposed with the French Riviera on one side, and the stunning buildings bordering the shore. Just breathtaking.Written 13 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BackinBracknellBracknell, UK1,589 contributionsIt's the top of Monaco and the views are stunning. Absolutely a must-see. Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place here and you buy entry tickets to the Palace from the Souvenir Shop across the square. Don't bother with the cafes and restaurants on the square - we found them to be overpriced and the staff rude when we tried a couple to get a drink. There are much better places a short walk away down the little streets of the Old Town.Written 1 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WPLandryFairfax, VA600 contributionsSadly, the gardens were under reconstruction when we visited. There was a small area of cacti and other succulents that were available for us to visit. It was quite an impressive collection and I can only imagine the garden at its best.Written 4 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jean-Claude LemperBrussels, Belgium63 contributionsA nice place to stay in Monaco, at walking distance from « the Rock » but affordable and cosy. Hotel Colombus is nicely located in front of the rose garden of princess Grace ; there is a lot of restaurants along the harbour : Graziella or Tre scalini for Italian délices, Moshi moshi for Asian touch and Beef Bar for excellent meat… don’t forget the Ship & Castle for a drink !Written 19 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RazorfishLittle Rock, AR5,275 contributionsThe Jardin is a pleasant park on a cliff overlooking the ocean between the oceanographic museum and the Cathedrale de Monaco. It is very tranquil and has some nice sculptures. It is a good place to relax and take in the beauty of the garden, if you have the time. My wife and I were on an excursion from a Viking Ocean Cruise, so our time was limited.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JuroraPeterborough, Canada601 contributionsAfter arriving in Monaco by train, I walked eastward towards the Casino Monte Carlo, and after a hot, inclined walk, I was glad to come across these Casino Gardens, to allow me to rest, and sit in some shaded areas. Being a plant lover, I enjoyed walking along the terraces, seeing the different varieties of bushes, tropical plant flowers, trees, and especially the cactus, as that is my top plant, having many at home. I stopped here and there to rest, as it was a hot day for me, and I enjoyed looking down over the walled areas, at various locations, at the beautiful, sparkling Med. Sea! It was also beautiful viewing the Yacht Club area, with all the sailboats, and a smaller cruise ship was in view that day. The views of the buildings in areas behind this area, were spectacular, as many rose above the city. I spent awhile meandering through this area, before trying to find the Casino.Written 17 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoanneLake Mary, FL2,139 contributionsThe church is interesting, but not huge. You probably only need about 20 minutes inside to view the royals burials and other things. There are steep steps in the front, so if you have mobility problems, go around the building on the left hand side and walk to the end of the church and there will be a disability entrance you can go in that way. The tombs were interesting, but were in Latin, so hard to read the numbers.Written 23 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
