What travellers are saying
- chantal t4 contributionsExcellent and reliable service, a ferry every half hour on the dot. Well oiled machine, great organisation, very efficient, well doneWritten 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Glen504216Bognor Regis, UK356 contributionsWell laid out and very interesting. Great views over Victoria and beyond. Just beware it is very exposed to the midday sun and can get very hot - but then a good excuse to stop for a drink in the restaurant!Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Andrea Lehotska TravelbloggerMilan, Italy338 contributionsDid a long trek to reach this place. Until a certain hour it’s packed with tourists and people, so not very enjoyable, yet there is still a lot to see for those who like to walk and explore and not only to arrive, take a pic and leave. After a mandatory 15min boat ride(4€) under /in the middle of giant rocks to see where one the now collapsed “window” stood, you can reach the cliffs and go exploring the coast left(nobody does), or reach the famous blue hole right. (Wear proper shoes as especially during the high tide there is a wet and sharp cliff to be done.)
U will be rewarded by a beautiful tiny spot where to jump into the blue hole or simply sunbathe on the flat stones.
I camped on the short flat stones and the view early morning were breathtaking.
Please remember not to litter 🙏Written 4 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - sainttommLondon, UK3 contributionsMaria was a wonderful hostess, and gave us a very warm welcome on a quiet Monday afternoon, plying us with wine, cheese and their delicious signature tomato paste. They are undergoing refurbishment at the moment, so we just had the farm shop and the cute dogs to entertain us, but will definitely come back for the full tour and to stock up on more amazing fresh local produceWritten 22 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- dubzOxford, UK168 contributionsVery small stony beech.
Luckily there is a good parking area nearby, and other spaces on the steep road nearby. You can rent a umbrella when on the beach. There are a number of vans selling drinks, food and ice cream nearby. There is also the Joyride Gozo watersports tent in the car park where you can rent a boat, go to comino etc.Written 14 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - DaveandMichelle41Wakefield, UK136 contributionsWe visited the beach on 2 separate occasions during our stay on Gozo. Parking is on the road leading down to the beach and it does get busy but we never had to walk very far from the car. There are various venders selling souvenirs, drinks, snacks, ice cream, beach inflatables etc all along the roadside and there is a snack bar and toilets just off the beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are also available for hire at 5 euros each for the day. This sandy beach is popular but it never felt too busy on either of the days we visited. Great for all ages.Written 29 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Helena LMalmesbury, UK845 contributionsA pleasant bay for swimming and relaxing. Not much shade but beds and umbrellas can be rented for €3 a piece. The bay is just around the point from Marsalform so you escape the crowds.
If you are brave enough you can jump from the shore and the rock outcrop.Written 8 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - chantal t4 contributionsWell worth visiting, fabulous location, beautiful and moving inside. Easy to get to and from on regular buses/ bolt taxisWritten 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- leonardo_1964Milano831 contributionsThe Marsalform Bay is a quiet and a good location for having a bath. The part near the small harbour is well protected from the waves and is near the historical center.Written 20 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jenik40Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic179 contributionsWe visited this place during windy day and we decided not swim in the bay. Place is really quiet but part of beach was damaged and second was dirty. When you plan visit and swim there ,not in windy daysWritten 26 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Carla PTurin, Italy174 contributionsAwesome area with rocks and sand (not so much) in a wild location..not easy to reach: you need a 4x4 or a mountain equipment…there’s a 30% sloping road ..but when you arrive at the beach you can find an oasis fur drinking end eating with great choice (ask to the owner for an help to go back on the top)Written 7 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jim mHolymoorside, UK1,070 contributionsAs the lady said "it is €3 euro for the lift up but free on the way down". The lift is worth it, the inside is beautiful but the trip to the top gives a great extra bonus. From the top you can climb the spiral staircase up the bell tower for that extra height. However, it is old, steep, open and, when it rings, the sound of the bell goes through you. Set in a sweet public square which has public toilets with lift access.Written 29 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RopentaStonesSt Helens, UK1,924 contributionsThere are a handful of these windmills dotted about the area but this was the only one I saw that was not in disrepair. It looks really good and is really cheap to go inside.Written 21 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gerald L1 contributionThe whole region is interesting for hiking I recommend Dahlet Qorot, San Blas Bay, and Sopu Tower.
These hikes are described online.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mark NLoughborough, UK519 contributionsTake the exciting little boat trip that takes you literally through the cliff to the sea and then along the cliff to look at the various formations. An exciting and interesting interlude and only €4 each. Well worth it.Written 12 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
