Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a most interesting art exhibition, the artist uses the light and darkness to construct some shapes and images that convey beauty and angst, war and peace. Thoughts and reflexions for the old, but also was curious for our grandkids to see the eternal play of light and dark.

This place definitely has an atmosphere, and it is relaxing and beautiful. A safe and calm area, with some cafes and tavernas at hand. Most recommended if you want to rest for a while from the chaos and rush of big cities.

Very interested to see this lovely mansion much as it would have been when the original owners lived here.
Sympathetically restored where needed, but generally all original and beautifully kept. The stunning ceilings and the paint effects on the walls an especial highlight, one room in particular having some fantastic trompe d’œil scènes.
Our guide was welcoming and informative, and the entry price very reasonable.
The museum is a credit to Xanthi and the region.

This is a well maintained manor house, used for events and on the second floor, there is a small area dedicated to the composer whose family rented when he was born. The ornately painted ceilings are magnificent.

I have enjoyed the photography exhibitions that are sometimes held here. Usually the admission has been free.

It is worth walking along the river with its lush vegetation listening to the water russling. With its alpine landscape, you think you are in the remotest of places enjoying the beauty of nature and yet you are just above the old town! Huge boulders and lush green of cypresses, pines and wild bushes complete the beautiful like a painting scenery!

When you visit Xanthi please remember to enjoy a walking tour around the old city and enjoy the monuments of the past. There are beautiful buildings either public or private ones. It's like an open air museum. Wonderful old town!

I have visited several times for photography exhibitions. It is a delight to visit such a traditional old Greek house.
