Eleni inspired us all in helping us make Ikarian pies (including the filo pastry from scratch), soufiko (an Ikarian vegetable dish), and fava… also got to to try other yummy things. Ate everything we prepared on a beautiful terrace looking out over the vineyard to the sea. Eleni, George (who gave us lots of info on the Ikarian diet) and their helpers are all so lovely and helpful. - Shiroma S1 contributionFamily friendly small village based around a swimming pool and traditional restaurant. Well run, clean, helpful owner who'll arrange trips and give good local advice. Suggestion is to book room only and then eat some meals at the restaurant where local fish dishes were lovely. - Julie GBrighton, UK7 contributionsEnjoyable day. Swim in the sea at a little bay then onwards to a small island. Swim and relax whilst waiting for Bbq to be cooked and served.
Beach shoes a must as pebbly and rocky until you get further into the sea.
Also the route from the boat to bbq beach is pretty precarious and make shift and you need to return to boat to use the toilet.! Even though me and my partner are not experienced wine tasters, our guide made sure we got the most of the tour.
