Katerina, our host, was pleasant, funny, informed, and professional. Her expertise with wines, where they're grown, how they're grown, how they're treated and perfected, was very, very welcome after a long day of sightseeing and walking. Thank you very, very much for this highly-recommended evening!

This place was recommended by someone who had lived in Athens for 8 years, and it truly lived up to our expectations. It was pretty packed when our party of 6 arrived, but they managed to squeeze us in. The wine recommendations were very good, and the food platter with cheese and meat was excellent. A DJ made sure we had a variety of nice music and the staff was super friendly. What really makes this place great from my point of view is the location a bit away from the packed main streets. Definitely, a place to visit for tasting Greek wine.

We knew about Cinque Wine Delights as we have tasted platters from their menu before, but have never been to the place until recently! We're only glad we did since it was an excellent experience. The food was awesome, the owners very welcoming, with great knowledge about wine, They have a very nice variety of greek wines and you can rest assured that you will find one close to your tastes.

I can't wait to visit this place again!

One of the reasons I stayed in Koukaki was to be close to Materia Prima. The wine selection and advice from the staff is exceptional. They have wines from all over the world but when in Greece I like to drink Greek wines and they have a very good selection. Try by the glass or get advice on which bottle you might prefer. Food on my visit included guinea fowl and quail as well as sguid and taramasalata with tempura scallions. All delicious!

I went with a couple of friends to share some cocktails and we got ourselves an evening of fun. The cocktails were really well made. The staff provided us with water to make sure we kept ourselves hydrated.

Dimitri is extremely knowledgeable about Greek wine and he guided us through the different styles, grapes, and regions of greek wine. He has an amazing selection of wines from small producers difficult to locate anywhere else. We took a couple of bottles home with us at the end of the evening. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Athens.

If you want to enjoy a glass of greek wine away from usual touristic streets, you want to come here. There is a great selection of wines. We were served very nicely and also ordered a small platter of cheese, salami, olives and breadsticks along with the wine. This is a small and cozy place to really enjoy. A bit pricey though, but worth it.

We popped in to Afrikana for some mid-week music on a trip to Athens. It’s a great little bar, with a friendly vibe and great music.

Great greek wine experience with Dimitri Spiropoulos.
He used to work in France at the Bristol Palace! He made us discover very good wines from all over Greece.
    Il parle français parfaitement.
    We booked by Airbnb.
I recommend to stop there if you like wine.

Forget rows of anonymous wines in boring settings. We spent a delightful hour being guided through an expert selection of Greek wines accompanied by generous nibbles in a shady neighbourhood courtyard. The wines included a delightful handcrafted wine by the monks of Mt Athos. All with the insights, stories and lightly worn expertise of Eleni herself. A delightful and informative interlude between sightseeing and dinner. Highly recommended.

We first stopped here just for a glass of wine. While enjoying the excellent wine we asked if they did wine tastings, they did so we booked ourselves in for a few days time. We were given a table surrounded by beautiful flowers and welcomed by Sophia who remembered our wine preference from our previous visit. Sophia talked s through each wine selection, showing us on her map which region it came from. All the wines were superb, even the Rose (we're not particularly rose lovers). A selection of cheeses and meats were served along side the wines which were a perfect accompaniment. Sophia was so knowlageable, friendly and likeable - she really made the evening. The wines were so good we bought wines to take home. There was absolutely no pressure to buy and the wines taste as good at home as they did in Athens. Its only a small place but it has a big heart. A perfect evening.

Great wines, affordable prices, tasty nibbles, excellent customer service.

Only problem was that the place was super crowded inside so I felt quite insecure due to COVID and decided to leave. I will visit again when the weather is nicer.

Guy claimed to be the owner, same deal as previous reviews with claim of live music. Was charged 70 euro for one beer. I never consented to buying the 2 girls a drink at 30 Euro a piece, nor did I offer to buy them a drink. On top of that, the girls insisted another round me assuming I was only paying for my own drinks. I felt something was off when they were insisting on another round so quickly.
Never was handed a menu with prices.
Never agreed to buy others drinks to talk for 5 minutes.
