Quinta da Jardinete Vineyard Ponta Delgada
#8 of 20 Food & Drink in Azores
We had a great time with Mario - he is very passionate about wine making, his winery, his family, and Azores.
He is the one who tends to the vineyards, makes the wine, and sells the wine from the estate, which is owned by a Austrian lawyer.

Adega A Buraca Santo Antonio
#10 of 20 Food & Drink in Azores
Mr. Silva and his family have collected and display the tools used by craftsmen on this island for centuries to keep house, work in their vineyards, woodworking, and farming.
This is a small family-owned winery making a couple of solid wines and many flavored liquors and brandy (don't miss the fennel and neveda liquors).

Beautiful home, traditional lava stone vineyards, fabulous view, SUPER friendly proprietor, a rambunctious and adorable puppy, and, of course, interesting wines and moonshine and jams!
We stopped by this amazing vineyard during our Gastro Tour.
