- PaulC924Billingham, UK764 contributionsWhat a wonderful museum. We learned about the fishing industry of the area and how important it was. A really interesting story.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Wendy H5 contributionsBeautiful views and a lovely walk into alvor old town and the Beautiful harbour brilliant idea, if you want a direct scenic route use the boardwalksWritten 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mia H13 contributionsDefinitely worth a visit, it was very beautiful :) good restaurants are close, so you can have drinks and food, even if this is a bit of a remote place.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael FrisbyGosport, UK120 contributionsI wish this track could always be on the F1 calendar. A great location to visit and a brilliant track for the race. The tower in the centre of the circuit provides an amazing view of the track and is a great place to watch the race from. The only thing that let it down was the organisation of the traffic which created long queues both going to and leaving the circuit.Written 26 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KBHKHong Kong, China72 contributionsWe stumbled across this beach yesterday. Surprised to find such a beautiful spot so quiet and peaceful on a warm, sunny day. Looked like there were some lovely places to eat nearby, though we didn’t try them this time. Instead, we got a bus 14 to Alvor(1.5 Euro each). Great beach- will certainly be back.Written 4 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lou FVancouver, Canada207 contributionsBeautiful little Beach Resort in Portimao, Portugal. Far less crowded than Albufeira.
We were here 7 years ago. It’s a little different now, but still a beautiful wide beach and plenty of shops and restaurants.
A real find is “Super Juice” for delicious healthy food and drinks. You’ll find Elvis, the owner, behind the counter.
Next door is Tapas Destapas which serves excellent little dishes. They also have an excellent Vino Verde on tap.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Pat CLimerick, Ireland4 contributionsWhen tide out walked this fabulous beach every day . Amazing Rock formations and Historic Cliff Top walk . Start behind O LIno beach restaurant. Spotless beach . My favorite.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ERIC WKnoxville, TN4,208 contributionsWe viewed the beach from a lookout above the beach that went along the cliffs above the beach. The views were absolutely incredible. Later we walked the beach and explored but the views are better from aboveWritten 12 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Adrian SBerkshire, UK129 contributionsGreat beach and great rock formations. Lovely place and very quiet at this time of year. Might be packed in summer thoughWritten 22 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- smiler552Limavady, UK134 contributionsAll these markets are the same. If you visit one you wouldn't need to do anymore. Lots of fruit and veg. Fish stalls didn't seem to be open on a Monday. Prices reasonable and a good variety.Written 4 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mrhurdygurdy28 contributionsThis beach is an 'Official Nudist Beach'. Please see the photo attached which has accreditation from Portimão Camara / Council, Algarve Tourism, Portugal Naturist Federation and the International naturist organisation.
I would personally like to thank Portimão Camara for taking the step to make this official, naturism is a pure and good activity promoting health, body positivism etc. I would also like to thank the Camara for replacing the earlier notice board that had been damaged.
The beach is now a nudist beach and the sign clearly signs that you should not wear clothes, if you want to wear a costume there are so so many wonderful beaches nearby please respect that this is the only dedicated nudist beach. Also a beach to enjoy the beauty of nature, the sign says no ball games, photography or music.
Because of these rules this beach is wonder peaceful, stunning scenery and the vibe is very gentle and calm. I have seen many happy family groups, couples and singles. The beach is gay friendly too.Written 1 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Helen_HRVIIIOxfordshire, UK16 contributionsThis is a great place to enjoy sunny days on this beautiful beach! If, like me, you enjoy the sun from the safety of the shade, this is the perfect spot to relax! (Plenty of sun is also available for those who want it!) Comfortable sun beds, attractive natural shades and pleasant staff make this a great base for a day on Praia da Rocha. It's close to shops and cafes for refreshments and reasonably priced. Merci pour l'accueil et des journées sympas et ensoleillées!Written 28 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ERIC WKnoxville, TN4,208 contributionsThe views of this beach from the cliffs above are absolutely fantastic. It’s obviously a beautiful beach and worth checking out but the views above is the money shotWritten 12 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK937 contributionsExcellent nature reserve with a boardwalk stretching for miles across the marsh and the coastline. Great area for birdwatching early morning.

Saying that, the tiny beach was busy but that means about 30 people were there enjoying the idyllic setting.
An absolutely beautiful beach that involves an element of rock climbing to get to. It’s a manageable scramble down the cliff to get there, but if you struggle with heights or have any mobility issues, it’s best to stay away.
If you get there, enjoy the quiet and views of the cliffs surrounding you and keeping you protected from the outside world.Written 14 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
