What travellers are saying
- NatalyZurich, Switzerland10 contributionsThe beach is absolutely lovely. The main advice - do not rent the place with umbrella at the beach. Bring your own. The guys who rent out all these things are rude, telling you different price every time and yell at you if you ask them to replace a bench when you see that you got a broken one. We paid 18 eur for each chair/bench we rented for few hours and it was a robbery .Written 21 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Yorkie46Pocklington, UK121 contributionsAccording to the Portobay Falesia info there were 136 steps to the beach but I only counted 80! Not too bad going down but a drag coming up, there are howver lots of benches to have a rest!Written 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susanne F13 contributionsVisited last week 27th June, great day out but far too busy, so many school tours. Not a place you can relax at all, booked sun loungers, long walk to find them and then people already on them so had to go back to person again. The people on them had not paid, we were given different numbers. Someone needs to be checking the seating areas. Our seat was on the end, big school tour arrived and sat on ground by our chairs and needless to say the noise level went up. Tours should be scheduled on a certain days where all tours are on same time, this made everything so loud and busy as impossible to get seats at restaurant. Restaurant so busy but we ordered at a kiosk. Made 3 trips back as kept discovering missing items, as staff fill the tray on big order a pen would be handy to tick items off. Food was nice. Staff very helpful and friendly at least. The shows are lovely, yes I agree that these animals/mamals should be free but clearly we'll loved here. The butterfly garden is lovely, be prepared to get wet. Lovely aquarium too. Very well kept and clean area, visited before Covid but far busier this time unfortunately only did some rides and standing for shows unless you go very early.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tupps Mum19 contributionsAbsolutely stunning beach. Very clean. Lots of shells for kids to collect. Some lovely bars and restaurants along the front. We loved it there.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- majeoMiami, FL2,838 contributionsI went to 5 most famous beaches in Albufierera area, and I thought this one was the best.
Unfortunately, I visited in April too cold to swim.
But, this beach got it all from beautiful natural formed rocks to page colour sand.
I would love to go back here for a sometime in the summer.Written 24 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - FitBuddhaOwlBergen op Zoom, The Netherlands10 contributionsWe found what we were looking for: a quiet, secluded beach. Even in the May holiday not too many people around. The tide is nice for the children to play inWritten 1 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- majeoMiami, FL2,838 contributionsThe old town is a beautiful white city with cobbled streets, where you can find over 100 family focused restaurants.
The Strip is renowned for its nightlife full of clubs, pubs and bars that stay open till early morning.
Still this historical town has good vibrant.
I drove it's narrow Street, but I would definitely like to tour it on foot.

Sandy stretch again and historic for its past as fishermen’s beach. Cafe not far away so you can enjoy the sea sitting in the cafe.Written 21 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LaohuPenangPenang Island, Malaysia501 contributionsThe beauty of the city is spoiled by tourist attractions and shops which cover the original of the old city.Written 19 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- hugheskevin5Chepstow, UK182 contributionsYes visited in May, but stay to “left” of main beach & you can find cosy alcoves & beautiful rock pool scenery. In high season too busy, but “pre” & “post” high season (May/Jun & Sep/Oct) definitely worth a visit. Lovely set of restaurants also.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- chairaNijmegen, The Netherlands10 contributionsIt’s a fun mall with a lot of shopping stores like Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius and Pull&Bear. Downstairs you have the more expensive stores like Guess etc. Upstairs you have a huge eating square with McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell etc, but also healthy stores where you can get some fruit or a healthy sandwich. It is a nice thing to do if you want to go on a trip.
Food Tip: O Sea Bitoque is also very nice. We had a chicken with butter saus and an egg, served with some rice and fries. It was delicious. Definitely would recommend. ✨Written 16 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Goodfoodreviewer2Kenilworth, UK113 contributionsSheltered cove so just a slight breeze and calm water albeit a little cool. The sun warmed you up though. Course sand and some rocks at the extreme east of the beach. To the west of the beach were interesting rock formations. The west of the beach had only one or two people while the east had loads, no idea why as the west part seemed nicer.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CharlotteRodgersReading, UK356 contributionsGiven how close the vineyard is to albufeira we took an Uber and visited for tour and tasting at €10pp.
The ‘tour’ was more an explanation of the vineyard history, grapes used and process for wine making. All interesting but told in a static one place as opposed to a tour around and being shown the vines and grapes up close.
We were then taken into the cellar for a 4 sample tasting. The tasting was good, included some information about each wine and the wines were nice. We did both feel that it felt very rushed. It wasn’t rushed in a sales way that they wanted us to move on and buy from the shop, but that it was just rushed like they wanted us to go. It would have been nice to feel like we could enjoy each sample of wine for a little longer as opposed to quickly drink it down ready for the next so we could be moved along and out.
As noted by others, other vineyards offer tapas which would extend the tasting experience and make it feel more like a settled half an hour rather than a quick sample and off we go.
I do think this vineyard cashes in on the fact that Cliff Richard owns 50% and therefore use that to their PR advantage.
Overall a nice hour for a one off visit.Written 21 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Beatriz MDüsseldorf, Germany5,111 contributionsVery good and accessible viewpoint. I love it that there are scalators connecting the viewing point to the center of the city. So you do not have to get tired climbing stairs. They should do the same in Lisbon.Written 11 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- tinkle_24Northampton, UK1,455 contributionswith several stacks in the water, some with openings at the top. A small beach but sandy and great views from the top.Written 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
