#1 of 55 Sights & Landmarks in Antwerp
It is art per se, fantastic building and very well integrated with the modern services that we use nowadays, take a moment here to appreciate the ceiling and take a walk through the stairs to have a view.
Antwerp indeed has many attractions and sights to visit, and the central railway station is an excellent place to start, especially if you're arriving by train.

Cost €3, get off a couple of stops before the station at the round about and wander about for a while to view the stunning architecture and ornamentation.
Don't forget in the next street (Pretoriastraat) is another free site to see, amazing graffiti about a mile long.

... each other-- for free!! it is a great open area but the buildings surrounding it are unique and beautiful to look at-- so much character and history and a short walk to the river with more gorgeous views.
Go there, marvel at the stunning guild halls, and then take a seat at an outdoor terrace, weather permitting, and enjoy the view while you sip on one of the country's delicious beers.
