This was a wonderful picturesque excursion made so by our equally wonderful guide Andrike (spelling?). We saw all we hoped to see with interesting stories by our guide, many questions about Dutch life and history answered, and a great recommendation for lunch. Everything was tailored to how we would like it. I would recommend this tour.

Great day out just in time to see the tulips in full bloom still. Tour guide was very informative and gave top tips to enhance our visits. Great to see outside Amsterdam as we usually stay in the city when we visit.

This was such a amazing tour to the Keukenhof gardens! This is very special because the flowers are only there from March till about June. Our guide, Robert, picked us up at the hotel in a spacious minivan, which was very accommodating. After 30 minutes we arrived at the gardens, where Robert showed us around and explained things. After the Keukenhof gardens Robert brought us to a typical Dutch cheese farm, where we had free foodtastings. We visited the Keukenhof almost one year ago and are planning to do it again when possible.Highly recommended!

Excellent service with pick up at Amsterdam central visited the place with the children. Excellent choice of restaurant for lunch. Very kids friendly tour, the cheese factory selected was great for the kids and the windmills we visit was very accommodating and informative for all.
The highlight of our trip was Sam, our driver and guide. He was very informative and courteous during the entire trip.

We were welcomed by the lovely Majel with a drink and a snack on a beautiful sunny late afternoon during which she shared lost of information and patiently answered all of our questions on the history of the country.
During the canoe trip we learned a lot the flora and fauna, related ecology en economics. Her knowledge literally reaches the sky!
A divine picnic by the waterside surrounded by curious cows complimented the sometimes strenuous paddling due to strong heavy winds which could not subdue our permanent happy grins throughout the journey. Warm raindrops on our faces upon leaving, we loved every minute of it.

Majel is really friendly, knowledgeable and speaks great English. She gave us a very interesting look into the history of the area before we set off and pointed out the local wildlife and plants at various points throughout the canoeing as well as an insight into the plans to keep the wetlands from going underwater.
If you're clumsy like me and worried about falling in, her canoes are very large and sturdy, it's very difficult to fall into the water.
Really recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature, being active or just looking for something more relaxed away from the city.

We took a coach tour from Amsterdam Central Station with “Tours and Tickets”.
It was very well organised by the coach company with a courteous English speaking driver, who was also a very careful driver.
That was the better organised part of the day however.
I had been pre-warned by some friends who had visited the Floriade a few weeks ago, but I hoped it would be further completed by now.
We paid €68 per person for this trip but we can only say we felt it was a waste of time and money.
The Floriade was only partly completed with lots of areas and exhibits not yet finished, or planted up, and those that were finished (a few) were decidedly underwhelming!
The best part was the cable car over the park, one way trip included in the ticket and a very long walk back unless you paid extra for a return ticket. Signposting and labelling not clear either…maybe unfinished.
This is a huge area and lots of walking involved, which we didn’t mind, but we were searching for something with a wow factor, given this is only a ten year event.
There were some nice areas of planting but many areas were not planted up or such small plants with no impact yet, very disappointing.
The greenhouse was also very disappointing, not much to see.
We stopped there for a light lunch which was ordinary but still very expensive …we were even charged €2 per person for two paper cups of water from a chiller machine, presumably tap water!
We understand with Covid issues worldwide that some supplies might be affected, but therefore we feel they shouldn’t have opened an exhibition on a site which clearly wasn’t ready for the public.

We are annual visitors of the Chelsea Flower Show in London where they manage to construct beautiful gardens and displays, in a much smaller space, in just a few weeks…I suppose this has spoiled us as we expected it to be of the same standard.
We had visited the stunning Keukenhof gardens the previous day which was a wonderful experience and completely ready for visitors.

In conclusion we wouldn’t recommend a visit to the Floriade but visiting Amsterdam and particularly Keukenhof has left us with wonderful memories of this lovely country and its charming and welcoming people.

Friesland - what do you know about it? Take this tour and you will be able to answer that question. Loved this tour! It included beautiful scenery and a great itinerary with lots of variety. It was nicely paced. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. This was one of my favorite days of vacation.
