Our hosts Omar and Jiska were very knowledgeable, especially Jiska who gave us a lot of history around Amsterdam and the canals and locations. She kept us topped up with wine and made us laugh. - Ian KSydney, Australia3 contributionsThe tour, excellently delivered by (Kerin I think) concentrated in the Jewish Quarter area and, by agreement, excluded a half hour walk to Anne Frank House. It concentrated on the history, the memorial for 102,000 Amsterdam Jews murdered by the Germans and the cracked mirror reflecting a broken sky as felt by the artist/creator on his reflections when earlier visiting Auschwitz. He was friendly and provided so much information about the areas we were visiting and The Netherlands history. He gave some great recommendations as well. It was lovely to have a small group of 8. Kept the group ahead of the large 50+ groups. So much was packed into one day. And he got the rain to stop for our boat tour! Amazing. I would recommend this to anyone with a day to get out of the city and see the culture of the people. I’ll be back for sure. Roland our operator was super nice and full of information.
I would love the operator to have a mic or at least a headset so we could hear him. We were at the stern and could barely hear. Her speech was very clear and precise, but made the tour very interesting. She has a passion for Flemish painting, and this showed in her delivery. We would recommend Martina highly.
