Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

All the other positive reviews are right - this tour was the best part of our trip to Lausanne! Marc made the entire experience so fun and informative. He was incredibly helpful and communicative from the point of booking onwards, providing us with all the details of what we needed to know before the day and lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip in the local area.

Marc is very knowledgeable about the local area and wine - you get so much more out of the experience than just tasting some wines (which were all fantastic by the way!). We ended up purchasing some from each of the wineries we visited. He was ready for any question, even contentious ones about certain kinds of wine :). We were on the trip for my birthday and he went out of his way to make it extra special as well, which was very appreciated!

Highly recommend - don't hesitate to book!

We had a delightful time on this tour. Dean, our guide, was really helpful and courteous. He was friendly and accommodating and did everything to make our tour a pleasant one. He also gave excellent suggestions and directions to places. Even though the weather (and traffic) seemed to be against us, Dean made the tour fantastic.

Great tour with Thomas who had lots of wonderful tidbits of info about Lausanne’s interesting history. We went mostly downhill so not strenuous if you’re tired from this city of hills. I like a tour that is a little more formal just because I don’t know what to ask in a new city - I want to be exposed to what the guide loves and knows about their city!

I had a fantastic time on this excursion. Our tour guide was David, and he was amazing. He is super nice, thoughtful, and friendly. The weather was not great, but we still got to go up to the Glacier and see the suspension bridge, which was a wonderful experience. To be able to walk over a bridge in the clouds was amazing. David really felt for us that it was not a clear day, and he was able to offer us additional time in Montrex and also have a walk around the little village of Col du Pillon. He also provided wine, cheese and snacks when in Montrex, which we enjoyed by the lake. David gave plenty of suggestions for our time in Montrex and it was definitely worth the extra time. We went to the Queen statue and museum which was so special and completely free. In addition, on the way back from the tour, David stopped at the Charlie Chaplin house and a winery for use to take pictures. David went above and beyond to ensure we had a great day. I definitely recommend this tour, especially if David is your guide. We cannot control the weather but David will make sure you still have a wonderful time and have beautiful memories from the trip.

Thomas was a wonderful guide since he knew the important history of the city and all of the buildings and monuments.
He was also quite fun and engaging. We loved the route he picked, starting at the beautiful park near Foundation Hermitage.
Before we met him, we added a visit to the Vuillard show which was also excellent. Highly recommend. Very enriching.

The trip was amazing, but did NOT include the Glacier Palace as part of the tour, despite this being part of the name of the tour AND an item listed as "included". The lift ticket that includes the Glacier Palace costs an additional 120 Swiss Francs. That was a big surprise for all 12 people on the tour.

This review reflected the misrepresentation that the local agent made to its customers. In the description of its services, it offers private transportation and private guide. What we received was only the transportation part. The driver was kind and courteous enough to drive us along the Lake Geneva, but he was not familiar with the places or the cities on route nor any tourism info. As such, we felt we only got part what was advertised and what it was worth. The tour operator failed its job to provide full services as what it advertised.

We chose this trip experience primarily because we wanted to spend only one day venturing outside of Lausanne and because of the authenticity of the cheese and chocolate features. We were impressed with all of the features of the trip, knowing that we were there for the educational experience within the factories, to enjoy the beautiful views, the tastings, and to see the medieval village. The trip was EXACTLY as described and we enjoyed every bit of it. We toured on a Sunday. They arranged for an extremely convenient pickup point right outside of a Metro station in Lausanne (which we were already very familiar with from our weeks' outings). The driver was very kind, informative, and sought to assist us all throughout the day. He was very clear on each place we visited...what to expect, our timeframe, his recommended viewing areas, etc. The Callier chocolate factory has an entertaining and informational audio tour with a smaller replica of the machines and process used in the chocolate making operation. The tasting room was plentiful and you could taste whatever and however much you wished! At the end of the tour, was a giftshop where we purchased chocolates to take home in a cooler bag. We then ventured further into Gruyere to the cheese making facility where we had a tour of the cheese making process, with lunch in the restaurant. Others on our tour bus (a group originating from Geneva) had purchased packages from a different travel vendor, which included a fondue lunch at the cheese factory and Golden train trip back down the mountain to Montreux (this TripAdvisor package DOES NOT include that, which we knew), but our driver was able to upgrade to add our lunch and panoramic train ride....which was excellent because we were then able to eat with the people in our bus group and the meal was already pre-arranged for them and ready to go (i.e. no finding lunch on our own in the village, which we liked due to timeframe). We then ventured into the village and toured the buildings, the church, and walked up to the castle. We were advised that we would not have time to tour the castle, as we had to make our train departure time...which again, was fine, because we knew this already and had not really planned to see the inside of the castle. We were very content with the fabulous views, the idyllic village, and the many opportunities for photos, and strolling. We met back at the bus and the driver put us on the train to head back towards Lausanne. He picked us up from the train station, attended to guests' requests for toileting needs, and we were on our way back to Lausanne/Geneva. In all, our driver was attentive to us, always checking for headcount, making sure we were all accounted for, we followed his instructions precisely and all went well. The factories were very educational, food was delicious, and the views spectacular. If you want a stress-free excursion, where you don't have to plan, arrange, drive, or orchestrate anything, this is your trip. We got on the bus, enjoyed, and were dropped right back where we started, happy as can be! If you like to control your own traveling experience, are picky, grumpy, or are a negative-nelly who doesn't enjoy history and scenery, well, I don't know what to tell you...we absolutely loved it!

Stunning experience for our international corporate group, excellent mail communication from the beginning, efficiency of the booking and that Food tour was even more than we expected with Val. Her personality made our day so fun, the tastings were a real discovery, the artisans so welcoming… how could I not recommend that perfect activities especially for business group that need a yummy break during their stay in Geneva.

EAT AND CHILL TOUR is definitely a creative company to know.

    Thanks from all of us.

I generally find apps and self-guided tours to be pretty boring, but this was fun, interactive and showed me a few details which I shared with my local host and she had never seen them. A fun way to explore for 90 minutes or so.

The view from Jungfraujoch was incredible. What a beautiful place. The Sphinx and surroundings are very organised with a nice amount of things to see. One thing to note is that from Lauterbrunnen to Jungfraujoch, it takes about 1h30min with a couple train changes. The train journey goes through some lovely villages with incredible views, which sums up to the whole experience. The changes at the stations are easy to navigate, but due to the duration of the journey, it meant we only had 1h30min at Jungfraujoch. We managed to see most things, but it would've been nice to have more time up there.
Interlaken was a nice place with good views. Good for shopping, if you are into it.
One slightly misleading things is the proposed itinerary. We didn't make it to Aletsch Glacier and would not have had the time even if we tried. Perhaps remove that stop from the typical itinerary and increase the duration of Jungfraujoch to 4h30min?
Finally, your driver was very nice and helpful.

Clean and comfortable van. Driver was friendly. Jaque took us to the Olympic Museum in Loudsanne which was great. Then to Montreux for the afternoon and back to Geneva. Was a great day in Switzerland.
