- Curiosity356597759094 contributionsBoris, our driver, was incredible and we had great conversations over google translate. He is a gem. Also our guides Beatrice and Gabri were awesome, funny and enthusiastic. They taught us about Florence and Pisa and gave us great suggestions on places to visit and places to eat. This tour does have a lot of walking and by end of day we had almost 7 miles walked between both places. On way back to we drove past the largest American military base in Italy (camp derby), 2nd largest in Europe. We enjoyed the beautiful Duomo in Florence and other churches, squares, museums and historic sites and then went to Pisa to experience the leaning tower and cathedral and Baptistry. If you are happy to walk, and can handle some free time in a foreign land than you need to book shore emotion for this tour and ask for Boris to be your driver and Beatrice and Gabri to be your guides. He made our weekend very enjoyable while at the same time teaching us so much about the area and its history, and ensuring we experienced all its natural beauty. Francesco arrived right on time at the cruise port and took us to Pisa, dropping us off at the best entrance for crowd-free photos. In Florence, he guided us to key points of interest and shared great recommendations for shopping and lunch. He made sure that we were back on time to board the ship. They picked us up from the ship in a small minivan (maximum 8 people) so they could park right next to the center of town in Pisa and Florence. They we combined with one other van in Florence (Firenze) for a walking tour which was fast paced, but packed full of information with the whispers in excellent English so we could hear. We had time at both locations to walk around and do a little looking on our own. Shore days are short and to see two great cities, learn so much and have such great guides with very thoughful plans was amazing. I highly recommend using this tour group for your visits in any city for a private or group tour. - SherriGig Harbor, WA15 contributionsThis was a private family tour (kids aged 13 and 8). It was expensive, but it was totally worth it. Simona was our driver, and Laura was our tour guide. Both were fabulous. Simona gave us a lot of info on our long drive there, and she gave us time to rest on the long drive back. We paid extra to have a tour leader, and it was great to have more info and directions on what to do in the different cities. We also wanted the classic Pisa pictures, so Simona gave us suggestions on where to take the photos. We paid a lot for this to be private, which was also great to personalize it for our family's needs. He was on time picking us up and made a few stops in Pisa to show us the sights before dropping us off in the first town of Cinque Terre. When we were done he was waiting for us exactly as described.
