Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s hard to explain the magic of this place. It feels as if we’ve stepped into a painting or an old English television show called 'The Prisoner.' A magical realm, where upon arrival, I was at a loss for what to behold first. We walked beside the sea, a scene straight out of a fairy tale. There was even a quaint antique carousel, with colorful horses and balloons floating by. Simply enchanting.

Livorno is a city full of life that has many restaurants and hotels. Outside the city there are two big malls. Livorno is a right place if you love the sea and sun. Don't forget to visit Mascagni lungomare at the sunset time.

I love this rocky coast south of Livorno, and the fact that it is open to everybody: no reservation, no fees, no restrictions other than the parking lots on the road. But please take away your garbage with you. Some spots are rather filthy, cigarettes and plastic bags anywhere. Come on, take care of the nature.

This is a most impressive place that we discovered by chance, even if it's very popular to the local people. The church is located on top of a hill with a great view and inside you find a huge collection (over 12.000!) of tokens and small paintings, from people to thank the Madonna of Montenero for having provided help during difficult times.

Even if the religious part is not your thing, it's still worth a visit for the great view and the short trip by cableway.

We visited the Aquarium yesterday and had a great time! We took the train from Pisa to Livorno Centrale and then took the LAM Blu bus to the Terrazza Mascagni stop. When you get off the bus, just walk forward and you’ll see the Aquarium in front of you. The bus ticket cost €2.50. The journey itself was nice and easy and we did this with our 1 year old son.

Lovely Aquarium but a bit disappointing with the size of it. We stayed for about an hour and had a brilliant time. Definitely recommend a visit if you’re thinking of it.

It reminds me of Venice but is more like a modern day long, skinny marina of private pleasure boats. The architecture is interesting, with buildings in Tuscan colours. The church Chiesa Santa Caterina is interesting wothe several ceiling murals
