What travellers are saying
- Yann RenaudSwitzerland596 contributionsI would storngly advice viisting the Cupola, to get a better view of the ceuiling of it, and a great view of the city. Note that you'll have to climb the more than 400 stairs and that only the Brunelleschi ticket (30€) gives access to the Cupola.Written 3 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lili B3 contributionsWaited quite a bit to enter the tower but it was worth it. I wish they had better signage to point you towards the top level as the stairs are sometimes hidden within the columns. If you are sensitive to loud noises, I would not recommend going during the middle of the day as I did (at noon). The views were incredible from every level, and totally worth going up the steps. I would mention, for anyone claustrophobic, it does get very tight towards the top.Written 20 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Barbara J14 contributionsThe sunset Vespa Tour was an evening that hit all the marks! My family loved the Vespa ride through the Fiano countryside, just outside of Florence. We stopped along one of the vineyards and our tour guide, Dejan, was kind enough to take family photos and allow us to just enjoy the beauty of the surrounding vineyards and olive orchards. Afterwards, we entered the boutique winery where we were given a tour of the historic wine cellars and then enjoyed a wine tasting of their excellent Chianti, Rose' and Tuscan Blends. We also learned about their Olive oil making and were able to sample that as well. A lovely charcuterie of local meats and cheeses rounded out the sampling. The winery is beautifully situated just outside the town, with amazing views. We were able to purchase some of the wine and olive oil, so that we could enjoy the tour memories again when we got back home. I don't think Dejan or the Bings could have been more accommodating. It was really a wonderful combination of adventure and fun, with learning the history and process of the wine making, topped off with the excellent tasting. This is a must do tour!Written 17 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Julia CBig Sky, MT9 contributionsWe agree a MUST DO ACTIVITY!! John, the owner, was very enthusiastic and really covers all the bases with you and your group. The route is great and really gives you a nice variety, villages, vistas, orchards etc. Great views, places for photos and great places to stop--I would recommend you follow John's suggested stops for snacks, views and lunch. We are a family of six with 4 teens and they all said it was the best part of our trip to Italy--pretty high praise! Enjoy, and thank you John.Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- knox2022Ashland, OR1 contributionWe had a great time and have relayed the stories to our friends and family ever since we got back home. What a great way to see the Tuscany country side where we rode Vespas around castles and then consumed wine and fresh olive oil directly from the farmer and his wife, their kids and their kids. It felt authentic as authentic gets. And, our guides were professional, helpful, friendly and most importantly safe. Great times = great memories.Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DiFeyLong Island, NY14 contributionsThis tour offered a wonderful, full day adventure. Great way to enjoy the Tuscan countryside and wine country of Chianti when Florence is your base. Our tour guide, Guido la Guida, was so informative and funny (Like an Italian Rodney Dangerfield, but not crude). He counted heads at every stop and made us laugh all day long. The two wineries were wonderful. Very picturesque and good food and wine. The stop in San Giminagno for the best gelato was terrific. Highly recommend this tour. Easy to book online ahead. Great that our adult family of 5 got to mix and mingle with others. But still in a private van for the traveling.Written 13 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- 4nladyAustin, TX16 contributionsHad a great experience with Michel this past September. We rented a Vespa for a day+ and had the best time going from Fiesole down to San Gimignano (highly recommend). He was great in setting up the scooter and giving directions and was very flexible on the return .... Thanks Michel!!!Written 27 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Rachel C1 contributionMarco set us up prior to arriving in Florence and Chris picked us up in town before driving us in his beautiful and comfortable van to the Chianti region. We biked around 30km and visited 3 different wineries! We had an amazing time and enjoyed Chris’s knowledge and guidance! This was the highlight of our Italian Vacation and the knowledge we gained of the area was phenomenal! The views in the mountains, wines, and hospitality was beyond our expectations! What a wonderful time!!Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Angel OGurabo, Puerto Rico3 contributionsIt exceeded my expectations by so many miles! The car is in mint condition, the guide was very patient and professional throughout the whole drive, the road and sceneries where breathtaking. We ended at Villa San Michele which was sooo pretty and fancy. Honestly, this was worth every dollar. Something to check off my bucket list. Even though my wife did not want to drive, she also agrees that this was a very cool thing to do.Written 29 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
