Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The upstairs food hall is worth a visit - a great place for a quick lunch, with a large assortment of offerings, mostly pretty authentic. I used it a couple of times and enjoyed my food. Wandering waiters will take drink orders for you and deliver the drinks (for neo extra charge). If you're enjoying Florence and don't want to take the time it does to sit down in a restaurant, this is a good choice and is centrally located. Unlike restaurants, there is no cover charge, too. ;-)

This market is not in the city centre and it's a bit further, but still walking distance. We came by just after 9:30 on a Friday. There are fewer crowds here, probably because of its location, which makes it a prime spot for food tours. We didn't do one but we just wandered around ourselves. There are fewer options here than Mercato Centrale but the trade off is that you don't have to deal with all the people. They sell a lot of the same stuff - fresh produce, meats, and some vendors selling food. We tried the tripe sandwich here, which wasn't as good as the other market, but still delicious. We also bought some strawberries outside, which might have been some of the best strawberries I've ever eaten in my life, so definitely don't sleep on those.

Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio is worth the trek!

An outdoor market located in the heart of Florence ... a few minutes walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. This is mainly a leather merchants market and there are a lot of stalls in this area. Make sure to bargain for the price. The leather products are really good quality (that I found) as Florence is known for its leather. Also; visit the Boar Head fountain and drop a coin from his mouth ...

You can find a wide array of clothing and household goods there at really reasonable prices. Clothing in abundance. Be aware you won't find high fashion designer clothes but you will find an interesting array of really inexpensive clothing - shirts, sweaters, jackets, socks, etc. I was disappointed, however, that the vendors begin packing up around noon, particularly if it is raining. Plan to be there early.

I was at your store on 4-18-24 and bought a leather jacket for $360 euro to be custom made, and I am wondering when it will ship?

I had been shopping for knee high boots for a few months and just happened to find Diva shoes. They had a large selection of styles and sizes. Caterina helped me find two pairs that I love, great quality and comfortable. They were kind enough to ship them to the states for me since I was traveling for another two weeks and couldn't fit them in my luggage. There is a shipping fee but it was worth it to have these great boots.
    Thanks Rony and Caterina!

This is a typical market street, leading to the central market building.
Most of everything here is fake, so keep that in mind while haggling with the stall owners.

This isn't exactly a travel destination outdoor market, unless you're already in the neighborhood. They have a few stalls of beautiful produce, fruits, vegetables.
There are a few clothing booths that sell used and new clothes, and a couple of them sell new cashmere sweaters for approx $40 Euros. (some more)
It's a sweet local piazza with some cafes and restaurants around the parameter.
These aren't the correct hours this market is open, but I'm not sure what hours they are open exactly. If you're in the area, check it out. :)
