Found out about this sandwich shop from “Lonely planet” Guide book, so glad we did.
There is also a line to order the paninni inside the shop.

Domenica's charming shop is tucked into a side street on the island of Ortegia but if you are looking for truly authentic and beautifully made ceramics it is well worth the trouble to find it.
A few minutes stroll from the main shopping streets in Ortigia – a studio and shop where the artist Domenica creates wonderful ceramics.

The second to last shop of the market street, which sells hams, cheeses and the like, also sells very good sandwiches filled with dried cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, salad etc. (yummie).
Some merchandise is pretty flea market predictable-cheap hats and shirts, sunglasses, touristy kitchen towels and aprons, jewelry, pottery, magnets.

Offers the best of Sicilian wines, ceramics, books, foods and the kinds of gifts your friends at home will treasure for many years.
... including chatting with my young children whilst I shopped, and I'm delighted with the ceramics I bought here - there's a lot of choice in this area but this shop was by far one of the most classy and authentic.

Certainly the most interesting shop in the area where you can make both a practical purchase and a fashion statement.

If you happen to travel to Siracusa you must visit Ortigia and if in Ortigia we encourage you to stop by Angela's shop, L'Arte per Linciso.

This is an amazing shop where all the products have papyrus backgrounds created right there.
*** Note that the papyrus that is inexpensive and that is sold in "tourist" shops is NOT handmade or hand painted and is done on equipment or machines and mass produced.

A beautiful shop, in a beautiful place, with a great and inspired and creative "artist" of wonderful jewels!
I recently visited Sicily, but tried to resist shopping, until I visited this amazing jewelry store in Siracusa.

Bought a gorgeous hand-painted silk scarf in this small shop.
The shop in Noto is also really good.
