Thank You Annalisa!! We had a fantastic tour; lot of new taste experiences, but also a lot new and interesting information about Sicily and its history. We can highly recommend this tourđź‘Ť
We spent an incredible day visiting Mt. Etna and exploring the area. We then were treated to a wonderful lunch with a vineyard tour and wine tasting. Our knowledgeable guide, Vittorio, was an absolute pleasure as he knew all of the best places to go to for views. He grew up in the area and hikes Etna frequently. Everyone in the area knows him and they all went out of their way for us. It was truly a special day. I highly recommend this excursion.
My girlfriend & I had the pleasure of spending time cooking with Marco. We met Marco at the local farmers market to select the ingredients for our cooking class. We throughly enjoyed watching and learning Marco choose the best quality ingredients. His warm, fun personality put us at ease as he instructed us how to cook some recipes handed down from his grandmother. The grand finale was sitting down to enjoy the food we had prepared. Meal was absolutely delicious!!
Food and wine were fantastic! The olive oil is an unsung hero and delicious. We had 5 glasses: 1 as a welcome with a talk about the vineyard; 4 with the food with top-ups throughout. We also got a glass of Prosecco, although this was something we asked for, rather than given. We were then invited to see the cellars where the wine is processed before buying/ordering any wines.
The weather was cloudy so I can’t comment on the views, but I’m sure they’re stunning. The drive to the vineyard is beautiful so they must only get better with height.
Andrea as a guide is brilliant. He’s fluent in French and English and translated everything into both languages. He’s funny and a very talented opera singer.
Chef Mimmo was truly amazing!! We went shopping at the local market for the food items, had a private Mercedes take us to his restaurant where we did the cooking class. The restaurant was not open for business during the class. The restaurant was very nicely decorated, spacious and very clean and organized for our class. We were with one another couple that day and we all agreed this was a truly epic experience. The food items we prepared with the instructions of Chef Mimmo were truly the best meal we had in Taormina. He was so funny, kind, relatable and gracious. He emailed all the recipes to us so we could make at home.My husband and I look forward to taking another cooking class from Chef Mimmo when we visit Taormina again. I highly recommend beyond a shadow of a doubt this cooking class with Chef Mimmo!! Thanks Chef Mimmo for a truly unforgettable experience!!
Our guide, Emma, was personable, knowledgeable, and took great care of us. She shared her intimate knowledge of Palermo coupled with the wonderful food. This is a MUST DO tour. You won’t regret it. And realistically, you will eat enough to skip dinner!
We had a great time with Massimo!! We learned how to make pasta, meatballs, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto (our favorite)! Among other amazing dishes. Highly recommend!
This was a really great tour. Guiseppe was an interesting, informative and friendly guide. We visited the market and several cafes and sampled some absolutely delicious local food. There was so much to eat - it was excellent value for money. Guiseppe also told us a bit about the history of Ortigia and Syracuse, which was fascinating too. We had a fantastic and memorable time with Guiseppe and we highly recommend the tour
The weather wasn’t great and was snowy and icy which caused some other trips to be cancelled. The cable car was not open due to the weather but our guide Guiseppe helped us organise a quad bike tour which was really fun and I would recommend. It was very well organised. The wine tasting was excellent with 4 wines tasted and olive oil. We were provided with lots of great tasting food so go hungry. We bought lots of wine and oil but there was no pressure to buy Guiseppe was fun and really knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions and give recommendations of places to eat and places to visit Thank you Guiseppe you were amazing!
It was a really amazing evening, we have learned a lot and the food was so delicious. Special thanks to Alice and Francesco for helping with the parking situation. We enjoyed the time a lot. They created an atmosphere as we would have meet friends.
Had a really nice food tour with Dora. Five stops, lovely food and Dora was a great guide giving insights into the Sicilian culture and food. Would highly recommend.
We had a great walking tour with Domenico. He has a great sense of humor and a wealth of information about the city to share. We visited a number of sights and eateries that we never would have found on our own. We highly recommend this history and food tour.
