The old city parts of Bari are worth a quiet meander through, plus walk along the beach side promenade and see the fishermen selling any catch they have landed

Cattedrale di San Sabino is just another must to see and check out. It was built in a Romanesque style and it was so beautiful. The surrounding area was also awesome.

Bari's Lungomare is one of Italy's longest seaside promenades.
It stretches all around the old town, as well north and south of it. It's pleasant to walk it seeing local's every day life - people fishing, sunbathing or chatting on the rocks along it. Nice city views from several spots along it.

The opera house was spectacular. The tour guide was Daniela, she was so knowledgeable about the opera house. All questions were answered and some. When in Bari this is a must see. The cost was 5.00 euros.

This is the medieval Norman Castle in the center of old town Bari. It's a classic fortified castle with a moat around it. Didn't go inside because of partial renovations, however it looked nice from outside.

The old town centre of Bari is a must to visit. You can walk along the narrow winding streets, admire the squares and streets and the magnificent castle at the edge of the old town.

Piazza Mercantile is a typical Italian place. This square is in the old part of town and there are several eateries, bar and cafes all around.

Beautiful sandy beach. It is free. They offer a free storage service. The only complaint is that along the edges of the beach there is a lot of grass and it stinks. It was very crowded.
