We were intrigued by the ancient coins remade into beautiful jewelry which were very different to anything we have seen before. I really wanted to get a pendant for myself and though It was very difficult to choose amongst the various denarii, i found the perfect one at the end. I really appreciate the storytelling and the amount of interesting facts we were told about the origin of the coins. This forever remains the most meaningful souvenir of all and a beautiful memory as well. Thank you for your artistic approach and a piece of history brought back to life. - Ex-HostieWindsor, UK208 contributionsSo its like most department stores , we went in November and i hope to see a decent Christmas market but it was average. The food hall was amazing and this is the same level as the rooftop bar. We stopped for an apperitivo and like everywhere in Rome you get nibbles with it which was great. Yes not cheap.
The view was great , it was cold so the heaters were on and luckily we didn't have to wait for ages for a table.

I was in Italy for a friend’s wedding when someone from the wedding referred me to Bazooka Menswear. I told myself I wanted to pick up a couple of authentic made in Italy suits and jackets.
When I first walked into the store on Wednesday 09/19/24, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Mr. Clemente. Right off the bat he shook my hand and introduced himself. He looked at me, grabbed a couple of shirts and jackets, and said, “you’re a size 52 in jacket and a 42 in dress shirt”. I looked at him and said no way he was able to guess my sizes by looking at me. I tried on the jackets and shirts and guess what? They all fitted me perfectly! Clemente was also able to pick out my pants size correctly too.
I told him what day I was flying back home on Saturday and he told me he will get everything tailored by the next day for me (Thursday). Once everything was done, he treated my wife and I out for some authentic Italian coffee.
When I returned the following day to pick up my items, again, he warmly greeted me. I asked him if I could try on some more jackets and again he made some more outstanding recommendations. I ended up buying 5 more jackets. Clemente remembered I was flying home in 2 days, but yet he promised me he will get my jackets tailored within a few hours for pickup. Before going to the tailor, he again treated my wife and I out to some delicious Italian coffee.
He drove my wife and I over to the tailor in his personal vehicle. He parked his car and asked us to wait while he walked in to the store and dropped off the jackets for me. Traffic that day was HORRENDOUS because of a strike with the taxi and bus drivers. Clemente did not complain and talked to us like we were his long time friends.
Later on that night, he called me on WhatsApp just to follow up to make sure I picked up my jackets with no issue.
Never thought I would go on vacation in Italy and leave with a life long friend now. From now on whenever I go back to Rome, I will definitely reach back out to Clemente.
If you’re in town for some authentic made in Italy only clothes, shoes, hats and belts, you HAVE to visit Bazooka Menswear. The smells from when you walk in the door make your mouth salivate. The banter and Rome humour from the staff was great and really added to the experience. It’s a fantasy land of unique toys and gifts. - Glyn R15 contributionsVisited here on our second trip to Rome. We did the usual first day walk - Spanish Steps, Trevi, Pantheon, Navona - and came across Ceramica Raku. Decided to definitely come back later in the week. On returning we must have been in the shop for thirty minutes - we couldn't decide which one to buy. We ended up buying two. I've seen a couple of reviews berating the customer service from a woman. We were served by a young man and he was excellent. Not only did we talk about the clocks and their designs we then had a very wide ranging discussion about Rome, Italian football, English football etc. etc. Overall, an excellent experience. - Eva M1 contributionMy husband, his cousin and I visited Del Giudice Leather WorkShop aka Laboratorio at Via Mesopotamia 7, Rome, Italy on Wednesday 09/04/24 the day we arrived in Rome to attend a family member’s wedding. We met the owner Mauro Del Giudice who took our order for a bespoke small bucket handbag. I received the handbag in Massachusetts, USA on Monday 09/23/24. The handbag is stunning, excellent quality and craftsmanship. - Olivia FVidalia, GA27 contributionsDuring a recent visit to Rome, my daughter and I stumbled on Antica Caciara. Located in Trestevere, it is easily overlooked but that would be really unfortunate. It is a multi-generational purveyor of fine meats and cheeses. I have traveled a bit, both in the US and Europe, and being a foodie, have searched for the best that cities can offer in this arena. I can say with confidence that Caciara is one of the best, if not the best. Not only do they carry the classics, Parmesan reggiano and Peccorino Romano, also other regional cheeses that will broaden your horizons. Their meats are some the best I've ever had, and considering that my family and I, being of Italian extract, have been making sausage and cured meats for years, that is no small compliment. If you’re in Rome, Antica Caciara is most definitely worth the time to visit.
