Such a beautiful place! Just sat down and admired everything. There are obviously a lot of people and don’t forget to cover shoulders!

A definite bucket list tick you need to see. Our visit was the day the closed the colloseum due to extreme rains but we managed to get in, just in time. Rome is a must see city.

I have no idea what anything is in the forum, as we were traveling with our kids, ages 5 and 8. We let them follow their nose, and just enjoyed a morning exploring the ruins.

We found out way to a secluded spot with an absolutely amazing view of the Colosseum and not a single other person in sight. So, feel free to wander and get off the beaten path!

Our tour in Rome was great. Slip the line tour of St. Peter’s Square, Sistine Chapel, Museum is the way to go to see and learn this extraordinary place. Our tour guide, Rafaella was great. She was very knowledgable and funny. She answered our questions. We were very satisfied. Highly recommended!

We bought omnion tickets and thought we could "skip the Queue"! No chance. Everybody is in a very long queue to get in and it is swelteringly hot. There are free water refills, if you have a container. Also, when we enquired about the tour nobody mentioned the fact that shoulders/arms must be covered up. There are street sellers selling thin scarf type coverings which most women are forced to buy if they want to gain access. once inside the decor is, as you might expect, fabulous. We went there on the open toop bus tour, which was difficult to find but we eventually found the boarding points and used a three day pass to good effect.

Awe inspiring that this grand fountain simply erupts from the side of a building. The kids - ages 5 and 8 - LOVED seeing the sculptures of the horses and hearing the rush of the water. As they're quite visual beings, they thought it was amazing!!

Be advised, though, that it's a VERY narrow space and is CROWDED. So keep your hands tightly onto the kids to weave your way through.

We visited the gallery with a pre-purchased ticket for a specific time. The guide to the exhibition gave 2 hours for the full guided tour of the exhibition.
Arriving we found no queues at the entrance. We waited for the exact time of entry, after we delivered our bags to the designated place. Our entrance after checking in our tickets was easy. We began our walk through the halls with the amazing works of art that we had been informed about by the internet. In each space there is a museum curator. Fortunately there was air conditioning and this made our stay pleasant. The Gallery contains works of all categories, such as paintings, sculptures, decorations and more. At the end you can find souvenirs of the Museum in the shop at reasonable prices, depending on your choices. The gallery has a café with several items. Unfortunately the cafeteria does not have air conditioning and this was not good for the month of July. Despite the heat we sat for a while in the cafeteria. I went out of the normal exit to photograph the near buildings and gardens. I tried to re-enter from the same door and was noticed by some guys who were seemingly guards, who indicated to me in the worst way that the entrance is the next door, although they had seen me when I came out. They themselves were sloppy and smoked by throwing the cigarette down at the exit, giving the worst image of the Gallery which stands out for its beauty and the excellent works it hosts. The gardens, as well as the near buildings, but also the Gallery itself need maintenance. The facade of the gallery is covered with special fabric with its full image printed, as it would be preserved.

Love the castle. A magic place where all good energies of the universe converge. Been here five times. Do NOT visit the bar. Chaotic service, no gluten free options. No will to make even the smallest effort.

Small group tour, led by an archaeologist who has actually worked on the site and its paintings. Very informative signage, with pictures of reconstructions. Tour is over an hour long. The VR element was just a short (5-10 minute) thing, where you sit down with the headset and are taken though a reconstruction of the garden area. Nice, but a brief part of the tour. Rated 4 instead of 5 because it is DARK in there (Ok, it's underground...), which is good for preserving the paintings but not so good for seeing them. The tour is more informative about the architecture than the paintings.

I highly recommend a visit to Villa Borghese and please choose the guided tour, it is excellent. Julia was a brilliant guide, both knowledgeable and interesting, hitting all the marks. You cannot possibly know what Julia knew, and to not have that information at hand while taking in the art, would be a mistake. Wonderful visit.

The best art in the best palace in Rome. Much better than the Barberini etc. AND has the world’s best Velazquez painting - Pope Innocent X. This is a MUST see.

Beautiful city center. The one and only Rome. It feels like every building is historic and with great cultural meaning.
