Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Henry CampbellAdelaide, Australia16 contributionsThe Amalfi Cathedral is a real gem in the heart of Amalfi. It’s got this stunning mix of medieval and baroque vibes that’ll have you snapping photos at every turn. The climb up those steps is a bit of a workout, but once you’re there, the views are totally worth it. Inside, the intricate mosaics and the massive wooden ceiling are jaw-dropping. It’s a great spot to soak up some history and grab a gelato nearby after. If you’re cruising the Amalfi Coast, don’t miss it!Written 1 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Here you can find good views of the cathedral.Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marion MNyon District, Switzerland609 contributionsVery impressive building already from the outside. The access is up a huge flight of steps from the small street below, and inside everything is enormous and quite ornate. It is colourful inside with each pillar decorated.Written 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lolly’s LookNew York City, NY14,946 contributionsThis is a beautiful church that you should not overlook. The marble altar and art work inside are worth taking some time to visit. We stopped in, said a prayer, lit a candle and explored the beauty.Written 1 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
