Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had a great time and the wines were excellent. Mattia is very knowledgeable and a very friendly person. The tasting room was great and they even gave us some cheese and Salumi. It’s a small winery so we felt like family right from the start. It was very intimate. I would definitely go again.

    Hello everyone!
We took a cooking class today hosted by Luisa Carinci. It was an amazing experience to see how to make pasta and tiramisu. They considered the foods we didn’t like, so we made Raviolis with ricotta and artichoke and a second dish called Chitarre with vegetables and tomato sauce. And of course Tiramisu. We got all the recipes in english and the instructions as well. She was very friendly and show us all of her tricks.

Anna was so informative about the origin of the foods, the process of making some of the cheeses, and the best places in the area to eat and buy the food. We highly recommend this tour if you are in the area. It's 3 hours but goes so quickly.

You might want to make sure you have an alternative planned for the day, as this was the second experience in two days cancelled at short notice the operator, Gustabruzzo. And I mean short notice - we got an email at 6:16 for a tour meant to start at 10.00 am. No reason given and there was nothing in the booking that said the tour would be cancelled if enough people didn’t book it. I get that life and emergencies happen, and would be more understanding if there was just a brief reason given for the cancellation. In the absence of any explanation, I’ve been left feeling that Gustabruzzo have not been very honest about the terms of their offering or caring about their customers. The one saving grace is that Viator have been super helpful about it all - can’t fault them.

Stefania made me feel home from the minute I arrived at her place. Her way of teaching and making you feel comfortable are the best! You will learn how to make pasta from scratch and realize that it is not difficult. That’s how Stefania does. She will share with you her secrets and make sure you will eat very well. I recommend her to everyone looking for a real italian experience. Thank you for a very special evening!

The Experience Bella Vita Custom Tours of Italy is an outstanding tour program. Marino Cardelli is more than a tour guide, he is a researcher, a diligent worker and an ingenious seeker of new ways to enhance his tours. For Marino, Experience Bella Vita Custom Tours is not a job but a passion. His very strong desire to share the history, culture and people of Abruzzo allows him to share this passion with experiences not with generic tours.

Our group of six are very pleased with everything that Marino provided for us. We contacted him 3 months prior to traveling to Italy. We were searching for an Ancestral Heritage Tour of Abruzzo. We all had grandparents who were born in the Abruzzo region and then came to America to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Marino visited our hometowns and met with many people in each town. He was able to have the mayor of Salle spend the day with us and share his knowledge about Salle and Salle Vecchia. The information he shared gave us more incite into the lives of our ancestors. We not only walked about the town but toasted our ancestors with wine and snacks (provided by Marino). We visited the town hall and were given access to the documents showing the birth, marriage and death of our ancestors. Seeing the birth record in a large book written in the beautiful Italian script is a memory that I will cherish.

We spent 7 days in Abruzzo staying at a Bed and Breakfast in Sulmona. Everyday we traveled by van to our ancestors hometowns; Salle, Penne and Pianella. We went to the beautiful National Parks of Majella and Gran Sasso. We hiked to the Castle at Rocca Colascio, we tasted wine and ate a home cooked meal at Cantina Wilma, we truffle hunted with his family and ate an amazing seafood meal on a Trabocco near Pescara.

Everyday was a new experience. Marino out did himself. His care, his friendly personality and his willingness to meet all our needs made our time in Abruzzo a stunning exploration of the history and culture of the region.

I have shared with family and friends Marino’s website and I will continue to share the fabulous programs that his company provides. Grazie Mille,

    Joan McConnell

Second time having Marino help with arranging a wonderful activity! He is so knowledgeable about the Abruzzo region. The wine tasting and winery visit was memorable and Abruzzi wines are great. If you planning a visit to this region of Italy, Marino is the best person to assist. We enjoyed the truffle hunt and cheese making from our first trip in 2022 so it was a no brainer to use him again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We went for a self guided 2 hour tour with e-steps. Pescara does have excellent cycle paths. The provider Mimmo Grazie was waiting for us a the proposed place and time and help us to start the rent of the e-steps. Mimmo proposed to accompany us for the first half of the tour. This was nice as he showed us the best places to visit with the e-steps. Although he was not fluent in English (and we do not speak Italian, he could provide information about well-known places and buildings. Some of the bikes did not have enough battery loadings, but there are standing e-steps at a lot of places in the city. You just stop the rent of your own e-step and start the rent of another e-step.

When we continued the second half of the tour Mimmo gave us a voucher for ice creams, which was very kind of him. We had an excellent trip.

Doing the self guided e-step tour in Pescara is recommended.
